On Temple’s Scheduled Walkathon to support non-violence

This message is for the Hindus of the world and for any temple’s Hindu leaders.
The temple’s activities related to the existence of the Hindus in the USA’s political field is most welcome, and I desire that Hindus get elected in political positions to serve Hindu interests of the Americans as well as of the Hindus.
Non-violence is a supreme principle of the Vedic Dharma (and Jainism, Buddhism, and Sikhism are branches of the Vedic Dharma). So, Gandhi preached अहिंसा परमो धर्मः in Hindustan’s politics against the British rulers.
However, the second part of the Vedic shlok is धर्म हिंसा तथैव च॥ This says that to do violence to protect Dharma, that is to protect innocents’ lives, lands, women, honor and dignity, and freedom and liberty against the demoniac forces, is also the supreme principle. Gandhi totally neglected this “धर्म हिंसा तथैव च” Vedic teaching.
It is now well-known that the Britishers quit Hindustan in 1947 because of Subhas Chandra Bose and his Azad Hind Fauj, and not because of Gandhi. That is why Modi has put Bose’s huge status in Delhi recently.
I request Vedic temples to influence politics or people by sharing Vedic teachings from the scriptures, and talk about those who acted per Dharma principle and influenced politics positively.
Krishna acted per this Vedic teaching अहिंसा परमो धर्मः। धर्म हिंसा तथैव च॥ When Arjun, out of compassion, said he does not want to fight, Krishna convinced him that he must fight pre Dharma. Therefore, in any Vedic temple-event to show Hindus’ political presence in the USA, they should talk about Krishna and the two supreme principles, and not Gandhi because Gandhi is not a Vedic authority or God.
Below are more facts to forget Gandhi, and remember and talk about Krishna and Bhagavad Gita.

Gandhi contaminated a pure Vedic bhajan रघुपती राघव राजा राम by adding a line ईश्वर अल्लाह तेरा नाम , सबको सन्मति दे भगवान in it to serve his political agenda. The description of what ईश्वर is in the Vedic scriptures is totally different from the description of अल्लाह in Quran and Hadith. So, the line he added is a sheer lie. Putting ईश्वर and अल्लह in the same category is like putting a fried fish in छप्पन भोग.
A Vedic aacharya Bhaktivedant Swami Prabhupada has informed that fasting for political purposes is never recommended in the vedic scriptures, and Gandhi violated this principle. Prabhupad also has informed that Krishna describes qualities of a mahatma in Gita, and Gandhi’s qualities are nowhere close to that criteria. So, Gandhi was not a mahatma per Krishna
So, I request temple leaders to not talk about Gandhi, but talk about Vedic personalities and Vedic Dharma principles to influence politics in the USA or anywhere.

I am a Vedic preacher and priest, thanks to Bhagavan Krishna and my guru.
I bought the referenced packet of 500 gram, a decade or so ago, but opened it yesterday because the Samagri I had (do not know which band it was) got consumed. Everyday at home I do a mini-havan with a teaspoon of Samagri.
When I opened the packet, it gave a stinky smell like stinky fertilizer. Still, I used a teaspoon full in my havan, and it spread the stinky smell in the house. I do the havan in the morning before going to job.
When I returned from the job, and entered the home, I felt the stinky smell of the Samagri.
So, I believe that it was manufactured using stinky fertilizer and camphor or something was mixed with it to suppress the stink. If this was done per your direction, or it was done by your worker, it is sinful.
If you employ Muslims, then probably they did it, like they spit in the foods they serve or cook.
I believe the Veda has prescribed how to prepare or manufacture Samagri, and I do not know at this time where in the Veda the Samagri ingredients are descried, but it is your responsibility to find it out and prepare Samagri accordingly. The Samagri ingredients include sacred plants, seeds, herbs, etc. A havan is not for burning junk or waste. As you know, the Samagri must produce sacred fragrance.
Until I know you improve your product, I am not buying it, and tray another brand.
I pray you prosper by producing best havan Samagri and doing so you serve Dharma and Hindus.

A political Scientist Samuel Huntington at UCLA has stated after the end of the cold war that Islam will be the enemy of the USA (and the world). He says that the wars will be fought based on ideology (or religion). He describes it as the Clash of the Cultures.
He has, and some great personalities have, understood and stated clearly that Islam is a severe threat for liberty and freedom and for attaining peace.
Your mission is to convert others to Christianity. Therefore, I request you, a brave American, to convert Muslims first. If the Christian preachers in the USA do not convert the Muslims, then after a few decades the country will look like Saudi Arabia. There will be burkhas, mosques, madrasas and maulvis / mullahs everywhere. There will not be any church or temple or synagogue. There will be Sharia courts only in the USA. Per Sharia one is guilty as charged. The burden to prove innocence is on the accused. No Americans who are freedom lovers would want it to happen; but it is happening silently and gradually.
An example is Dearborn, MI city where Islam rules. One cannot drive through a Muslim neighborhood if one is not a Muslim. This is true all over the world. In most of the 53 Muslim countries, all religions, except Islam, are illegal.
The Hindus who live in Hindustan since millenniums are suffering from the forcibly invaded Islam since ~1000 years. They tried to assimilate Islam for such a long time while tolerating their terrorists’ inhuman barbaric acts, but they failed to assimilate. The Americans could learn from this history, and stop any and all efforts to assimilate Muslims. So, any success you achieve in converting Muslims would be your great achievement. So, take this challenge please, and stop converting Hindus in Hindustan because the Hindus never have converted anyone by force or enticement or fraud. Per Dharma, they never will go out to convert.
Islam is not a religion of peace, but the opposite. If you know it well, then I strongly request to please share it with your audiences. If you do not know it, then invite me in your gatherings, and I will share a lot of truth about Islam.
I have seen that in the Western world many people do not know correctly what this Hinduism is. E. g. I was invited by a Christian University org to share info about Hinduism to their students who all were adults. They gave me one hour, but kept listening to me for about three hours. They were teaching about Hinduism; so, I asked them what text book they use. They said they had none. Obviously, they were teaching wrong information about Hinduism. I gave them a textbook to use. I hope they are using it.
If you want your audience to know what Hinduism is, then invite me to give a three-hour talk (or two or three classes totaling three hours.) All have freedom to hate Hinduism, and I say that first know the truth about Hinduism, and then hate it if there is any reason to hate it. Be rational.

In the USA the media sets debates on TV between politicians when election time is near. The purpose of a debate is to bring out the truth to the public. The Hindus have an age- old tradition of publicly debating religious principles in the most civil manner. I suggest you invite me for a debate on religious principles, and I would gladly come. By the subject line you mean to say that we need to keep America a theist nation; perhaps you also mean to say that America should be a Christian country.
Being a senator, I believe you are a rational person, and are open to seek the truth, and act in consideration with the truth you know. That has inspired me to share some truths with you.
Yes, I agree. It is better to be a theist than an atheist. However, if you say all in the US are free to practice their chosen religion, then it includes atheists also. Now you would agree that all theist religions (Hinduism, Judaism, Christianity, Islam, etc.) are different; and all atheist religions and man-made ideologies (Jainism, Buddhism, Sikhism, Communism, etc.) are also more or less different.
So then, what is the sense if one blindly accepts the religion of one’s parent? My point is, just as we buy a house or a car after comparing good and bad of each different house or car, we, as rational persons or nation, can pick a best theist or atheist religion. At the least, we can say, after comparing religions, that at least one of them is very bad if we want peace and prosperity.
Now one may ask, how to objectively compare religions. At the below link I have found a short article that provides objective criteria for comparing religions.
I request you to read it please. It provides about 16 yes/no questions. Whichever religion scores more yes answers, is definitely the best for attaining peace and prosperity. Every religion has at least one scripture or a Book, that is the only source to use for knowing what the religion says, not any person, definitely not a person who does not live per that religion. Another source for knowing what a religion says is a person who seriously lives per that religion; and the history of that religion if it did bring peace or wars in the past or present.
My humble self is a retired federal engineer. I was born and raised as a Hindu in Hindustan. My education includes Physics, Mathematics, and Electronics Engineering. My work includes analysis, design, testing systems. By the mercy of God and my spiritual master I am able to share with non-envious friendly people information about Hindu Dharma. Dharma is not a religion but universal religion for mankind. This fact becomes clear when you see all the hundreds of prayers in the Vedic scriptures address all living beings, and the nature as well. All the Hindu Dharma practices are eco-friendly. The Hindu Dharma is the oldest; and no Hindu ever has gone out to convert anyone. Dharma tells one to seek the spiritual truths as well as material truths. The Veda, the original source book of Hinduism, provides the complete spiritual science. Knowing that science and living in consideration with that science is Dharma. Consequently, you can see that Hindustan continuously produces engineers, scientists, doctors, nurses, philosophers, professors, teachers, etc.
In contrast, there is Islam that for 1400 years produces terrorists for the whole world. It is not a religion of peace at all, but the contrary.
Being a Hindu I have also read Koran and Bible; and also know about Jainism, Buddhism and Sikhism because these are major branches grown out of the Vedic Dharma or Hinduism.
In relation to the above subject (Keep God in America) I would like to share my view that I have developed after my studies and analysis.
Islam needs to be declared illegal for the following reasons:
It is enemy of democracy
It does not include human rights (nor it understands human responsibilities)
It treats women as a thing, not as a human, that can be exploited, bought, sold, and dumped any time
Per Islamic law Sharia one is guilty as charged. The burden of proof on the accused
Per Islam a Muslim must be killed if he/she quits Islam
Islam tells followers to convert non-believers, or kill them if they do not accept Islam
Koran says the earth is flat and mountains as a “paper-weight” on it
The US constitution is created by the People, and it can be amended by the people when necessary.
Angola has declared Islam illegal. The US can do it too. Remember, a muslim always say, “I am a Muslim first.” A nation he/she lives in is nothing to him.
Note that no Hindu ever has any problem with the Jesus, but Hindustan has produces millions of spiritual giants in the past, and still is producing. So, Jesus is not new to the Hindus. For spirituality, the Hindus do not need a foreign prophet. Besides, the Hindus do not need a prophet to live per Dharma and advance spiritually.
Hinduism is not a threat to Christianity, but Islam is a threat to Christianity and any other religion.
Therefore, if US is saved from Islamization, then please help in bringing back in US all the Christian foreign missionaries from Hindustan, and engage them in converting the US Muslims to Christianity.
They should not waste time in converting Hindus.

नमस्ते का सबसे गहरा संस्कृत अर्थ है – “आप एक असीम आत्मा हैं और नमस्ते के साथ बधाई देने वाला स्वीकार करता है कि वह / वह एक असीम आत्मा है, और आप की तरह, वह भी समान सुपर आत्मा, सर्वशक्तिमान ईश्वर ओम का हिस्सा है, इसलिए मैं विनम्रतापूर्वक और आदरपूर्वक श्रद्धा से मैं अपना सम्मान प्रदान करता हूं।”
जगजीत का संस्कृत में अर्थ होता है, जिसने सभी का दिल जीत लिया है। यह नाम आपकी संकीर्ण सोच के साथ मेल नहीं खाता है।

अर्थ। सत शब्द संस्कृत के शब्द “सत्य” से लिया गया है और जिसका अर्थ है “सत्य या वास्तविक”। श्री (या श्री या श्री), एक सम्मानजनक शब्द, संस्कृत मूल का है जो सर्वशक्तिमान के सम्मान या सम्मान के रूप में उपयोग किया जाता है। अकाल या अकाल [अ + काल = समय से परे] कई नामों में से एक है जिसका उपयोग “कालातीत, ईश्वर – ओम कार” के लिए किया जाता है।

ऐसे गंदे कर्मचारी सरकार के सुचारू कार्य के लिए कुल बाधा हैं, और इस तरह, देश की अर्थव्यवस्था का लगभग 60% हिस्सा खो रहा है क्योंकि ऐसी आदतें उत्पादकता को रोकती हैं, और समय का एक बड़ा नुकसान होता है, जिससे लोगों में गंभीर निराशा होती है। ऐसे गंदे स्वार्थी लालची कर्मचारी राष्ट्रीय अर्थव्यवस्था को धीमा करने के लिए जिम्मेदार रहे हैं। लालची कर्मचारी अर्थव्यवस्था की मंदी, राष्ट्र की प्रगति, उद्यमी के सपने और उपलब्धियों के प्रति स्वतंत्रता का कारण बनते हैं।
वे सत्ता और स्थिति का दुरुपयोग करके कानून को अपने हाथ में लेते हैं और इस प्रकार वे अनावश्यक प्रतिबंध, भय और भय पैदा करने के लिए जिम्मेदार हैं।

यदि यह दुनिया के क्षेत्र में भारत की छवि को नुकसान पहुंचाता है, तो यह समय नहीं है कि आचार्यजी द्वारा सलाह के अनुसार नीतियों को लागू करने के लिए त्वरित कार्रवाई की जानी चाहिए, ताकि कोई भी कभी भी गंदे स्वार्थी अभिमानी, सत्ता और स्थिति के भूखे कर्मचारियों से आहत न हो,
जिन्हें एहसान की ज़रूरत होती है, वे अनावश्यक प्रतिबंध लगाते हैं, डराने का काम करते हैं, ताकि लोगों में भय पैदा हो।
जब तक जमीनी स्तर से भ्रष्टाचार पूरी तरह समाप्त नहीं हो जाता, तब तक एक राष्ट्र ईमानदारी से प्रगति की ओर काम नहीं कर सकता है।
आचार्यजी सलाह देते हैं कि यह सही मायने में उनकी योजना पर काम करने का समय है।
स्वार्थी लालची देशद्रोही को रोकने के लिए सरकार को सही दृष्टिकोण की आवश्यकता है, क्योंकि वे उन ईमानदार और ईमानदार लोगों में निराशा, अकाल, गरीबी, कुपोषण और गरीबी की ओर ले जाते हैं जो राष्ट्र का भला करना चाहते थे।

फिर उस लोकतंत्र का उद्देश्य क्या है, जहां हर विभाग सत्ता, पद और समाज की सेवा के लिए कुछ लाभ पाने के आधार पर काम करता है?
क्या आपको लगता है कि भारत का कोई भी देशभक्त अपनी छवि दुनिया के सबसे भ्रष्ट देशों में से एक है जो अधिनायकवादी है?
भारत को एक लोकतांत्रिक राष्ट्र माना जाता है, फिर भारत में इतना भ्रष्टाचार क्यों है, जो तानाशाही राष्ट्र के साथ मेल खाता है?
उत्तर: सच्चाई यह है कि सरकार हर ‘सरकार के विभाग’ के जमीनी स्तर पर भ्रष्टाचार को रोकने के लिए वास्तव में मजबूत उपायों को लागू करने में विफल रही है।
मोदीजी, आचार्यजी आपको रातों रात भ्रष्टाचार को रोकने में मदद कर सकते हैं। यह एक शाश्वत सत्य है लेकिन आप ऐसे सलाहकारों से घिरे हुए हैं जो अब तक पूरी तरह से असफल साबित हुए हैं।
कृपया इसे एक सकारात्मक दिशा में ले जाएं क्योंकि आचार्यजी का उद्देश्य आपको मदद करना है।
ऐसा क्यों कहा जा रहा है?
उत्तर: क्योंकि भ्रष्टाचार ने हर विभाग में स्तर तक कई गुना वृद्धि की है, जैसे कि दीमक इमारत के खंभों के शीर्ष तक पहुंच गए हैं, पूरे घर को नीचे गिराने के लिए तैयार हैं।
मतलब, ये अधिनायकवादी स्वार्थी लालची कर्मचारी बहुत अधिक समस्याएं पैदा कर रहे हैं
जब तक वे लोगों से कुछ व्यक्तिगत लाभ नहीं देखते हैं, समय पर शिष्टाचार पर लोगों की सेवा करने के लिए।
यहां एक मेल बॉक्स का एक उदाहरण दिया गया है – इसी तरह के शिकायत बॉक्स हर सरकार के कार्यालय के बाहर स्थापित किए जा सकते हैं, शहर के कार्यालय, जल-विद्युत विभाग, अदालतें, पुलिस स्टेशन, अस्पताल, हर गाँव में, जहाँ लोग अपनी राय छोड़ सकते हैं, चाहे वे गुमनाम ही क्यों न हों।
आचार्यजी ने आपको मोहनी बाण के उपयोग के बारे में सलाह दी थी जिसे भगवान श्री राम जी ने पंचवटी में खर और दुशन के राक्षसों से छुटकारा पाने के लिए इस्तेमाल किया था।
मोदी जी आपका मतलब देश के लिए अच्छा है। कार्रवाई में लागू करने के लिए, आपको अपने जैसे कई अच्छे अर्थ वाले देशभक्तों को सशक्त करना होगा। शब्दों और भाषणों में सीमा होती है। इसे व्यावहारिक रूप देने का समय आ गया है।
दूसरे शब्दों में, आपको अपने भ्रष्टाचार को साफ करने के लिए अपने प्राधिकार को सौंपना होगा गुप्त जांच दल बनाकर: लाल, नारंगी और हरे रंग की चेतावनी महान देशभक्तों की जांच टीम जो आपके द्वारा सशक्त हैं। साथ ही, दाएं हाथ को बाएं हाथ का पता नहीं है .. मतलब रेड अलर्ट टीम नारंगी और हरे रंग की सतर्क टीमों को नहीं जानती है। इस तरह, वे एक-दूसरे पर भी सतर्कता बरतेंगे।
यह समय है कि सरकार को इस तेजी से बुराई को रोकना चाहिए, जो भारत माता की लोकतंत्र की नींव और स्तंभों को नष्ट करने के लिए तैयार है, यह दीमक सभी मूल निवासियों को स्वतंत्रता और लोकतंत्र के सिद्धांतों को मजबूती से बनाए रखने के लिए बहुत खतरना
आचार्यजी ने आपको कई बार सलाह दी थी कि आपको भगवान श्री राम की रणनीति का उपयोग करने की आवश्यकता है। विभिन्न विभागों में जाएं या सत्य का पता लगाने के लिए विभिन्न विभागों में सबसे विश्वसनीय देशभक्तों को भेजें, “वे कैसे कार्य कर रहे हैं?” उनके पास मौके पर किसी भी गलत कर्मचारी को खारिज करने का अधिकार होना चाहिए।
सवाल यह है कि, “क्या उन्हें अपना वेतन नहीं मिल रहा है?”
क्या वह वेतन राशि संतोषजनक नहीं है?
यदि ऐसा नहीं है, तो उन्हें यह कहकर ख़ारिज कर दें, “दूसरी नौकरी खोजें जो आपकी ज़रूरत को पूरा करे। इस नौकरी ने आपको भुगतान किया जो आपको ईमानदारी, समर्पण, प्रेम और सम्मान के साथ जनता की सेवा करने के लिए रखा गया था? इसलिए, आपको लोगों से किसी विशेष एहसान की मांग करने का अधिकार नहीं था, समय पर शिष्टाचार में उनकी सेवा करने की प्रतिपूर्ति।” “इसके अलावा, आपके पास कानून को अपने हाथ में लेने का कोई अधिकार नहीं था। आप लोगों की प्रगति और काम को रोक नहीं सकते क्योंकि यह राष्ट्र की अर्थव्यवस्था को नुकसान पहुंचाता है। आपने अर्थव्यवस्था की धीमी गति का कारण बनने के लिए अनुचित स्वतंत्रता ली है। इसलिए, आप अपराध के दोषी हैं और राष्ट्र के नंबर एक दुश्मन हैं। क्या आप इस बिंदु को जोर से और स्पष्ट रूप से समझते हैं?”
लालची लोग और कर्मचारी मेहनती लोगों के जीवन को खतरे में डालते हैं जो एक ईमानदार जीवन जीने की कोशिश कर रहे हैं।
यह नरक बाध्य लालच प्रकृति उपलब्धियों, और उनके उद्यमियों के विकास के लाभ के लिए देश के ईमानदार मेहनती लोगों की प्रगति को रोकती है।
लालच नरक बाध्य प्रकृति बच्चों के मुंह से दूध और भोजन छीन लेती है, जिससे विशाल अकाल और कुपोषण होता है।
भगवद-गीता शालीनता और सभ्यता के मानदंडों के भीतर ऐसे लालची लोगों और रिश्वत की तलाश करने वालों को चेतावनी देती है।
क्या वे गरीब या अमीर की परवाह किए बिना पूरे समर्पण, सम्मान, प्रेम और पूर्ण समर्पण के साथ ईमानदारी से समाज की सेवा करने के लिए नहीं चुने गए हैं?
इस तरह की कक्षाएं लोगों के लिए, देश के लिए और खुद के लिए, और अपने स्वयं के परिवारों के लिए नंबर एक दुश्मन हैं, क्योंकि यह उन लोगों की प्रगति को रोकती है, जो अपने परिवारों सहित, एक सच्चे जीवन जीने की इच्छा रखते हैं।
इस प्रकार के लोगों को हर तरह से रोका जाना चाहिए क्योंकि वे आघात, निराशा से डराने के लिए जिम्मेदार हैं।
ईमानदार सरकार का यह कर्तव्य है कि वह लालची कर्मचारियों के ऐसे दुष्ट वर्गों को छान-बीन करे जो कि पूरी लगन के साथ और बिना किसी अवैध प्रतिपूर्ति के लोगों की सेवा करने के लिए थे।
आचार्यजी आपका मार्गदर्शन कर सकते हैं क्योंकि उन्होंने पूर्ण सत्य को देखा है।

Hello Sir jee! Your job is not to solve a problem. That would mean you don’t want to annoy any party. You want to please everyone. Sorry! you are not here to please people. You are here to interpret existing law and pronounce a judgment. Your job is to say who is right and who is wrong. That’s all. Nothing more. Nothing less.
But you didn’t do that. What do you do? From this country of 130 crore people, you hand pick four people and ask them to tell you what is their opinion about these laws. And then you would ask the gov’t to implement their opinion. You would ask the gov’t elected by 130 crore people to implement the opinion of four people. The wish of 130 crore people expressed through their representatives in the parliament is insignificant for you.
Dear Supreme Court!
If a committee can decide how this country should be governed, why bother about an Election Commission and why should millions of voters vote? Scrap the Parliament (to save hundreds of crores!) And form various committees of experts, who will tell you how this country should be governed?
Or, you can ask the government that before they introduce a bill in the Parliament, they must first bring it before you, and seek your pre-approval. (I think that also is not right. – Steve Brown) Only after that, you or a committee formed by you have approved it, it can be taken to the Parliament for vote. (Not right because then the ultimate power would be in the four persons. – Steve Brown)That will save time and effort of a lot of people.
But you won’t do that. You want to take over the power of the parliament. But obviously, you don’t want to be seen doing it. By the way, yesterday you said that you have received many petitions against the farm laws, but you haven’t received a single petition supporting the law. I would hold it as the most stupid argument ever made by the apex court in its entire history. I mean, what kind of an idiotic argument is this? Let me ask you. The population of this country is 130 crores. We have seen only a few lakhs protesting against the laws at Delhi borders. Even if we take the number of people, we have seen participate in various dharna, pradarshans across the country as 1 crore, there are still 129 crore people in this country who we never saw taking part in these protests. So, can we say that 129 crore people are supporting these laws? Can we? No, we can’t. That will be a silly argument.
Dear Supreme Court! Please don’t allow people to make a mockery of yourself. I hope, you know that the protestors have rejected your verdict even before you have given it.
You know it very well. These (agitating) people don’t believe in courts. Didn’t you hear the same people say at Shaheen Bagh last year that they don’t believe in Supreme Court and they would take over public place to bring the government to its knees? Don’t you remember that? You certainly do. Then why don’t you pass judgments? Why do you dilly dally and let people openly disobey you?
Please do what you are supposed to do. Don’t do things that you are not supposed to do.
Your job is not to solve a problem to everyone’s satisfaction. Your job is to pass judgments, interpret the law, not stay it! So just do that. You have no business forming a committee to approve or reject a legislation passed by the legislative assembly.
Nor are you God!

Please allow freedom for temples by enacting a system of representative council constituted with religiously relevant people with scholastic abilities to oversee, advise & decide. Stop intervention of secular governments & political nominees in Hinduu religious affairs
Dear Sirs,
On behalf of millions of devotees from the Global Hinduu communities, who considers their temples as means to worship the God – the Almighty, we humbly request your attention to the following to affect the creation of a proper system for the service, maintenance & preservation of Hinduu temples, temple assets, temple customs, temple arts, knowledge of Thantra-Mantra-Yantra etc. associated with temples, learning, teaching & propagation of Vedas, Upanishads, other scriptures and numerous other tenets of Hinduu Cultural life. It is further humbly requested that the Constitutional guidelines and laws may be reviewed if required to effect a constructive change.
1. A new system for Hinduu temple service and maintenance has to be developed and implemented at the earliest considering the historical backdrop to ensure no intervention of secular government and politicians in Hinduu temple affairs, noting that they are not intervening in Christian Church and Muslim Mosque affairs.
2. This system should ensure that the numerous ancient Hinduu temples in India are properly, effectively and meaningfully preserved and utilized for the purposes for which it is intended and not just for purposes of tourism development and commercial benefits. As we all know, the prime purpose of temples are not to promote commercial tourism.
3. At present, the temple assets and its affairs at large, are taken care by the bodies set up by the secular government which are a mixture of government officials and political nominees. It is evident that these personnel are the key decision makers in the affairs of temples about which they are not really conversant enough as it appears.
4. Such government officials are entering into the government service through PSC examinations or such processes. And political nominees get their entry based on their comparative merits in their party and as decided by the party!!
5. It is anyone’s guess that a governing body of temple affairs, constituted through such a secular process will not really stand the test of merit and competency when it is compared to a panel of subject experts in the area of temple affairs, spiritual practices, Thantra etc. that are part & parcel of Hinduu religious life.
6. As an obvious result, temples have become centers of commercial activity and many consider temples as mere establishments for employment. In many temples it is observed that the Priests eyes on devotees who pay higher amount as ‘dakshina’. In many temples, the temple employees behave in rude manner as if the devotes committed a great mistake of visiting the temple. Recently, in Guruvayur temple, a devotee was beaten up by a temple employee. Many might have had several of such experiences of inadequacy to cite upon. All this happens or it shows that the people who are engaged for the temple services are not really capable to execute the work they are entrusted with. The administrative bodies are clueless about how to recruit the right people for the right job, how to train them, how to retain them, the importance of means & ways of setting right attitude in the temple staff as well as visiting devotees. All these happens while a large number of scholars and such people knowledgeable in such matters relating to Hinduu culture, rituals, Vedas, Upanishads, Thantra etc are not given any opportunity to contribute their wisdom for the well being of the Hinduu society that they hail from.
7. In many temples, crores of rupees are received as offerings. Many Hinduus believe that such income is not fully and effectively utilized for the Hinduu religious purpose but it adds to the treasury of the secular government apart from paying the salary of temple staff. And this happens while many ancient temples are running short of money to maintain themselves in a reasonable status. While other religions are utilizing such fund for their religious affairs such as learning, teaching and propagation of their religious texts, literatures, their customs etc, Hinduus do not enjoy that freedom to have centers of learning, teaching etc. As a result, majority of Hinduus becomes just ‘believers’ without possing the knowledge they are supposed to have about their culture, religion and religious practices,customs, rituals, literature etc. and its significance. They find it hard to find a facility in their neighborhood for the learning of their relevant religious texts and Samskritam, the language that is the key to treasures of Hinduu wisdom.
8. Ideally, government officials & politicians should refrain from temple affairs and focus on their area of activity and excel in that.
9. Decision making authority & responsibility on temple affairs should be entrusted with a duly constituted, competent body that is populated with the subject experts such as Sanyasins from prominent ashrams /mutts, intellectuals and veterans in the Hinduu religious & scriptural matters, and principles governing the installation and maintenance of temples.
10. As we know, there are a lot of such people in every states of India who have devoted their life for the pursuit of learning and propagating Hinduu scriptures, spiritual practices and its ways and means and so on. But the knowledge of such visionaries are hardly utilized for any policy making, temple related issues etc and the community to which they belong to.
11. A suggestion about a model apex body to be laid out is stated here. We request this model be subjected for debate, correction and implementation by involving intellectuals. The model is explained below.
11.1. Based on the geographical area, each state may be divided into 3 or four zones. For example, to start with the southern most state, Kerala, it may be divided into 3 zones – Southern, Middle and North zones. Then the Government will nominate one IAS officer to each of these zones as Zonal Devaswam Commissioners (ZDC). The senior person will be the ‘Chief Devaswam Commissioner’.
11.2. These commissioners will initiate the process to constitute an apex body of Hinduu religious and temple affairs preferably with name – ‘Hinduu Mandir Seva Prathinidhi Sabha’ (HMSPS). The name shall remain uniform for all the states but with the prefix of the corresponding state name.
11.3. The zonal commissioners shall collect the data of ashrams, mutts, other spiritual/religious institutions, temples, scholarly individuals etc. Then, each institution will be contacted directly and by way of an announcement in the leading media, inviting expression of interest from all religious/cultural entities to join as member of HMSPS by explaining them the whole plan.
11.4. All such applicants/nominated persons should undergo a screening process to establish their credibility and caliber before being inducted into HMSPS. Care must be taken to counsel them well before so that no one gets misunderstood about the whole idea.
11.5. Such screened & finalized applicants & nominated persons shall elect one among them as their representative through secret balloting.
11.6. The elected representative and the Chief Devaswam Commissioner shall be the authorized joint signatories of HMSPS.
11.7. Any issue pertaining to the Hinduu temples and the society at large shall be debated & decided in HMSPS in a democratic way.
11.8. Norms for recruitment, remuneration, training etc. of staff in each temple shall be decided by the HMSPS.
11.9. An executive officer with staff shall be appointed in each temple by the HMSPS with clearly stating his duties & responsibilities. The size of organization and the facilitations shall be governed by the prominence, size and activity of the temple.
11.10 HMSPS shall have zonal offices at a centrally located town.
11.11. With the implementation of this system after thorough debate at various forums in a time bound manner, the present system of secular government involving in temple affairs could be scrapped at the earliest.
11.12. HMSPS should facilitate centers for the learning (Pata Shala) of Samskritam language, Vedic Mathematics, The Chathur Vedas, Upanishads, Jyothi-sham, Vasthu Shasthra, Gemology, Vegetarian cookery, Basic customs & procedures of pooja, Environmental preservation, meaning & significance of the customs and rituals, science behind temple etc etc as prescribed by the religious and spiritual masters of Hinduu Dharma. This would ensure that ignorant citizen will not get cheated by fraudsters and also to avoid Hinduu religious becoming a center stage for the so- called secularism drama.
11.13. Whenever situations demands and if required, the Minister of cultural affairs will act based on the inputs from the HMSPS and never directly.
We humbly request you to treat this with top priority since the efficient existence of Hinduu Dharmic thoughts would directly imply the effective prevalence of secularism in India. We humbly request the government to subject the concept of creation of such a representative council for a national debate by scholarly people and enact a new suitable law at the earliest and help Hinduus to know Hinduu Dharma and its basics at least. Hinduus wish to learn Hinduu Dharma in an authentic way.
Mechanical engineering is handled by Mechanical engineers. Cardiology is handled by Cardiologists and Nuclear science is handled by nuclear scientists so as to have good results for the efforts. It would be disastrous if such technological establishments are controlled by non experts. Similarly Hinduu temple affairs are to be handled by people who have expertise in the relevant sciences, physiology and psychology pertaining to temples. Else it would lead to undesirable effects to the society as we have been witnessing so far and at present.
So, a change for betterment is essential. We are hopeful of the newly elected government at the center under respectable leader- ship of Shri Narendra Modi ji.
Sir, we humbly request you to do the needful to ensure equality and natural justice for Hinduus along with the followers of other religions as assured by the Constitution of India.

Government control of Hindu Temples
Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowment Act of 1951
Allows State Governments and politicians to take over thousands of Hindu Temples and maintain complete control over them and their properties. It is claimed that they can sell the temple assets and properties and use the money in any way they choose.
A charge has been made not by any Temple authority, but by a foreign writer, Stephen Knapp, in a book (Crimes Against India and the Need to Protect Ancient Vedic Tradition), published in the United States that makes shocking reading. Hundreds of temples in centuries past have been built in India by devout rulers and the donations given to them by devotees have been used for the benefit of the (other) people. If, presently, money collected has ever been misused (and that word needs to be defined), it is for the devotees to protest and not for any government to interfere. This letter is what has been happening currently under an intrusive law.
It would seem, for instance, that under a Temple Empowerment Act, about 43,000 temples in Andhra Pradesh have come under government control and only 18 per cent of the revenues of these temples have been returned for temple purposes, the remaining 82 per cent being used for purposes unstated.
Apparently even the world famous Tirumala Tirupati Temple has not been spared. According to Knapp, the temple collects over Rs 3,100 crores every year and the State Government has not denied the charge that as much as 85 per cent of this is transferred to the State Exchequer, much of which goes to causes that are not connected with the Hindu community.
Was it for that reason that devotees make their offering to the temples?
Another charge that has been made is that the Andhra Government has also allowed the demolition of at least ten temples for the construction of a golf courses. Imagine the outcry, writes Knapp, if ten mosques had been demolished.
It would seem that in Karanataka, Rs. 79 crores were collected from about two lakh temples and from that, temples received Rs seven crores for their maintenance, Muslim madrassahs and Haj subsidy were given Rs 59 crore and churches about Rs 13 crore. Very generous of the government.
Because of this, Knapp writes, 25 per cent of the two lakh temples or about 50,000 temples in Karnataka will be closed down for lack of resources, and he adds: The only way the government can continue to do this is because people have not stood up enough to stop it.
Knapp then refers to Kerala where, he says, funds from the Guruvayur Temple are diverted to other government projects denying improvement to 45 Hindu temples. Land belonging to the Ayyappa Temple, apparently has been grabbed and Church encroaches are occupying huge areas of forest land, running into thousands of acres, near Sabarimala.
A charge is made that the Communist state government of Kerala wants to pass an Ordinance to disband the Travancore & Cochin Autonomous Devaswom Boards (TCDBs) and take over their limited independent authority of 1,800 Hindu temples. If what the author says is true, even the Maharashtra Government wants to take over some 450,000 temples in the state which would supply a huge amount of revenue to correct the states bankrupt conditions.
And, to top it all, Knapp says that in Orissa, the state government intends to sell over 70,000 acres of endowment lands from the Jagannath Temple, the proceeds of which would solve a huge financial crunch brought about by its own mismanagement of temple assets.
Says Knapp: Why such occurrences are so often not known is that the Indian media, especially the English television and press, are often anti-Hindu in their approach, and, thus, not inclined to give much coverage, and certainly no sympathy, for anything that may affect the Hindu community. Therefore, such government action that play against the Hindu community go on without much or any attention attracted to them.
Knapp obviously is on record. If the facts produced by him are incorrect, it is up to the government to say so. It is quite possible that some individuals might have set up temples to deal with lucrative earnings. But that, surely, is none of the governments’ business? Instead of taking over all earnings, the government surely can appoint local committees to look into temple affairs so that the amount discovered is fairly used for the public good?
Says Knapp: Nowhere in the free, democratic world are the religious institutions managed, maligned and controlled by the government, thus denying the religious freedom of the people of the country.
But it is happening in India.
Government officials have taken control of Hindu temples because they smell money in them, they recognize the indifference of Hindus, they are aware of the unlimited patience and tolerance of Hindus, they also know that it is not in the blood of Hindus to go to the streets to demonstrate, destroy property, threaten, loot, harm and/or kill. Many Hindus are sitting and watching the demise of their culture. They need to express their views loud and clear. Knapp obviously does not know that should they do so, they would be damned as Communists. But, it is time someone asked the Government to lay down all the facts on the table so that the public would know what is happening behind its back. Robbing Peter to pay Paul is not secularism. And temples are not for looting, under any name. One thought that Mohammad of Ghazni has long been dead.
