The Direct Action Day.
It was on August 16, 1946 and the action started in Bihar and Bengal. Later repeated in Punjab.
Here is a picture from the evening before the Direct Action Day. Here the then Bengal Premier, Huseyn Shaheed Suhrawardy (right), is engrossed in a telephone conversation at his residence in Calcutta. Khawaja Nazimuddin, his predecessor, is seated next to him. Two years later, Khawaja Nazimuddin became Pakistan’s second governor-general and subsequently Pakistan’s second prime minister. Why was August 16, 1946 selected as the “Direct Action Day”.
Jinnah chose 16 August deliberately for a reason. That day in 1946 was the eighteenth Day of Ramzan and the day was associated with the Battle of Badr which resulted in Prophet Mohammad’s first decisive victory over the heathens and the subsequent conquest of Mecca. The then Chief Minister of Kolkata and an important Muslim League leader Suhrawardy and his Muslim League colleagues delivered fiery speeches reminding Muslims of Bengal of the victory of Badr and exhorting on them to follow in the footsteps of the Prophet and wrest a victory for Islam on 16 August. In fact, the writer has seen the announcement that was carried out in the Dawn newspaper (which was owned by Jinnah) for the call to Direct Action Day. The central narrative was to duplicate the “Battle of Badr”.
Most of the accounts, specifically so in Pakistan and the Indian “Secular” media – characterized the events called “Great Calcutta Killings” following the Direct Action Day on 1946 as “Hindu-Muslim riots”. Thus trying to say that it was done by both equally and drive home a false equivalence.
Nothing could be more farcical!
Let us look at the facts from that time itself.
Here is an extract of the official “Bengal Legislative Assembly Proceedings (1946) Vol.71, Pt.3.” (for download click on the link)
It explains clearly how the whole massacre was planned and started.
In fact, the legislative proceedings go on to show how the Muslim leadership worked to create obfuscation even when the evidence of who, how and why the massacres were started was very clear. Prior to the massacres on Direct Action Day, leaflets were distributed which clearly said what was going to be done.
It was at this very time, that the real fight for Independence was taking shape (Source). The ships from docks in Gujarat to Calcutta were taken over by the Indian sailors because they had been inspired by the amazing stories of the INA soldiers under trial at the Red Fort in Delhi. The Royal Air Force did a fly past over Bombay, the Army barracks went empty as Indians, whom the British depended on to kill Indians were deserting them.
The mutiny started on 18 February 1946 and by next evening a Naval Central Strike Committee was formed where Leading Signalman M.S Khan and Petty Officer Telegraphist Madan Singh were unanimously elected President and Vice-President respectively. It happened spontaneously!
Perfect scenario of communal harmony – right?
But all the mainstream politicians – from Jinnah to Gandhi, to Nehru to Maulana Azad – let these people down.
Why would Gandhi not back these people who were doing the ultimate non-violence – of deserting their imperialist masters?
The answer to this came out in the Khosla Commission deposition by Shyamlal Jain.
Netaji could still inspire the entire nation like no one else – despite the machinations of Gandhi and Nehru.
And, he was alive!
So afraid was the Congress establishment of Netaji and the Naval Mutiny that even in 1965, when Utpal Dutt did a play called Kallol in Calcutta (Congress ruled in Bengal at that time) he was arrested for that!

At 1 a.m. UK Time, 5 a.m. Pakistan time, today, August 14, 2020, there was a 21-gun salute in Lahore and 31 gun-salute in Islamabad to inaugurate Pakistan’s “Independence” Day.
 
But those who are older than Pakistan may well remember how and why a new ISLAMIC country took birth on earth in 1947.
 
Pakistan was for formed for the INDIAN Muslims who did not wish to live with the Hindus under a SECULAR Constitution. While the rest of the Indians were looking forward to the FUTURE the Indian Muslims were looking back to the PAST, the Dark Age, or the Era of JEHALAT (7th century AD).
 
No need to explain the difference between the secular Law and the ISLAMIC Sharia Law. It is enough to point out that within weeks of the birth of ISLAMIC Pakistan the Pakistanis started EMIGRATING from there to the CHRISTIAN countries in the West. 
 
So WHY did they murder two million, abduct and rape hundreds of thousands more, and forced tens of millions of non Muslim FAMILIES from their homes in order to occupy them (the homes) and live in them?
 
A few Muslim traits come to the fore. First the OVER REPRODUCTION. When the rat population on a ship increases in “the Islamic way”, thousands kill one another, thousands are pushed overboard to drown in the sea. 
 
The second trait is PREDATORY nature. When the time is ripe the Muslims will LASH OUT in all directions and kill the inhabitants to capture their homes.
 
The third trait is this “tableegh” or FORCING Islam on the UNWILLING. Despite the fact that people of courage have REFUSED point blank to embrace Islam still the savages INSIST on forcing Islam upon the civilized. 
 
The fourth trait is to “hunt & kill” NON MUSLIM girls, that is, to seduce and marry them and then produce more MUSLIMS. Do we know of any Muslim husband who might have allowed his “captured” bride to keep her Christian Faith and allowed the children to follow the religion of the MOTHER? 
 
It’s typical of the Muslims what IMRAN KHAN said after marrying JEMIMA GOLDSMITH, “My bride has embraced Islam!” This announcement was necessary to prevent a fanatic shooting them both DEAD on return to Pakistan.
 
What is the future of an artificially created bogus schizophrenic country that has turned its back on the PROPHETS OF GOD born in Hindusthan itself, but looks towards MECCA in Arabia as if God lives there!
 
The future of Pakistan will be the same as the present of LIBYA, IRAK, SYRIA AND AFGHANISTAN. What else? 
 
It cannot be like the future of England or Japan, and THEY KNOW IT!
 
Therefore, most Pakistanis prefer to live in Sweden, Norway, Spain and Canada than in Pakistan that was created for them!

“In the Rawalpindi district we found widespread destruction. Every Hindu and Sikh building in the city had been turned into a refugee camp. We saw a house where the children from the village had collected and which had been set on fire. We saw the bones of the little ones.
 
In a village called Thora Khalsa, after a prolonged fight between Hindus and Sikhs on one side and the Muslims on the other, when all men belonging to Hindu and Sikh communities were killed, 74 women, girls and children decided to jump into the well of a house where they had all collected for safety. Led by the wife of the owner of the house, Smt. Lajwanti, all of them jumped into the well after reciting “Japji”. We were shown the well and a photograph showing it filled with dead bodies.

Why is there no memorial to their sacred memory? Why are they not mentioned in the Vidhan of Jawaharlal NEHRU? Why hasn’t President KR Narayanan moved his “bum” from his “Bhawan” to go and see this well? Why did Vajpayee, when in Pakistan, not go to see Thora Khalsa to pay his homage to the dead? Why not? WHY NOT?

Rich in every aspect, India is a land that has always been coveted by every power and wealth hungry empire and despot. Empires came and went plundering what they could, but it was the wily British who institutionalised it for exploitation.
It was the ‘Jewel in the crown’ of the British Empire, and every effort was made to retain, expand its hold on India.
The Great Game nowadays means something else today but in 1830 it was the rivalry between Russia and the British for control of all lands that could impact British trade
In 1830 the Muslim Ottoman Empire was visibly in terminal decline and the Russian Empire was in ascendant. The British feared the invasion of India by Russia and the loss of its lucrative trade,

The British lost the 4 major wars it fought with the Sikhs and the Afghanistan and eventually Afghanistan became a buffer state between the two empires.

Compelled by the Americans as per the Atlantic Charter a reluctant Britain had to give up its colonies and set the lands free after the end of the second World War.
Britain now fretted that if they vacated India, because nothing could then stop a victorious and strong Russia confident after its achievements in World War II from simply marching into India.

Britain wanted to retain bases with troops and equipment in India to prevent such an eventuality. Both Nehru and Gandhi flatly turned that request down.

On the other hand Muhammad Ali Jinnah an astute man with a much better understanding of geopolitics readily accepted the request unconditionally.
He offered the British ‘Carte blanche‘ unconditional support and bases if they appointed him the first Prime Minister of independent India

There was however, a small problem, Jinnah’s voice had almost no say in the Congress party. The problem was easily solved, partition India into a Hindu majority Secular India and a Muslim majority Pakistan and appoint Jinnah the Prime Minister of Pakistan. Pakistan is the area that was contiguous with Afghanistan and where Britain wanted to have bases and troops, thus create an openly pro British buffer state.

The die was cast, now to implant the plan. The British government had given a mandate to Mountbatten to grant India independence by July 1948.

Suddenly the plan was in danger. British intelligence had reliable information that Muhammad Ali Jinnah was suffering from tuberculosis and unlikely to survive another year.

Then there was the question, ‘what if the people of India and Pakistan decide to reunite?’ After all barring the occasional riot the people of all religions and communities within British India lived in relative harmony.

So not only was partition essential to post independence British plans but to do so in such a manner that they would remain bitterly divided for a long time.

The demarcation of the boundary between India and Pakistan was given to two teams of eminent lawyers uninformed, unadvised and unsuitable for the great task as boundary commissions. The notorious and ill fated demarcated line came to be known as the Radcliffe line.

Sir. Cyril Radcliffe an English lawyer was summoned and assigned the job of trisecting most of India. He was appointed chairman of the two boundary commissions (One for Bengal and one for Panjab).

It is shocking to know, that Radcliffe had never visited India earlier, never read about or studied India until he was assigned the task. He was given just 5 weeks to complete the assignment. Arriving in India on July 8th 1947 he spent two weeks in bed recovering from ‘Delhi Belly'( a bad case of dysentery).

Radcliffe merely rubber stamped a plan that had been given to him by British authorities. We shall never know for certain, because Radcliffe destroyed all papers and records related with the decision of partition and he never spoke about it for the rest of his life.

Independence was granted at midnight on 15th August 1947. Then the exact map of Partition of India was announced on 17th August 1947.

India had been partitioned into 626 parts. India, East Pakistan, West Pakistan and 623 independent kingdoms. It was a disaster for the Indians.

Many Indians found themselves on the wrong side of the boundary and now prey to violent gangs intent on spreading terror, looting, raping and destroying.

Mountbatten who had promised law and order in the transition was inactive and silent. He let India burn, which many suspect was deliberate or gross incompetence.
Nehru and Jinnah busy in strutting into their new offices are also culpable for their neglect in their duty.

It seems evident, that the wily British had deliberately created a mess. They had the mischievous intent, to create enough long lasting problems in the Indian sub-continent to pave the way for Britain’s return to rule and dominate India once again sometime in the future.

Many people like to believe independence is mainly because of the trio of Gandhi ji and Nehru and Jinnah that got India and Pakistan freedom. Though this opinion is widespread it is grossly untrue.

It disrespects the blood, sweat and tears contributed by countless Indians, and even some Britishers and foreigners. The role of America was key.

Though Louis Mountbatten the Viceroy of India had time till June 1948 to complete the partition and grant India freedom, he used a butcher’s knife to tear out the soul of a people bound by centuries old shared culture and history.

Unclassified Russian documents reveal that Russia never had plans to invade India.

Pakistan by becoming a key partner of the Americans and British, evolved into a footstool for any power that would pay it mercenary fees and give it international support for all its mischief and terrorist activities.

Pakistan never learnt to exercise independence and remains independent only in name. Pakistan is now a failed Pariah state dependent only on a Communist China which is slowly sucking out whatever vitality is left.

It was clear that a strong non aligned India had to be contained and what better than to give it a permanent headache in the form of Pakistan and 526 independent kingdoms. As Churchill hoped, that in a few decades, Indians would be begging the British to return and once again take charge of India.
