‘Contempt’ per Indian Army
Contempt per India Army
From: Aditya Jain < >

Subject: What Is ‘CONTEMPT’ ?
An Army man holds ‘in contempt’ all those who do not perform their duties and indulge in anti-national activities like bribery, sleaze, fakeism and use of the State machinery for their personal purposes.
Every citizen of the country MUST do that, only then some sense of morality and righteousness will come in being.
By calling his PRIDE in doing his duty as ‘Arrogance’ is sad indeed.
Maj Gen Jaini, AVSM (Retd)
What is ‘Contempt’?
Few days back some one made a comment that Army men hold civilians in ‘contempt’…
Here is a piece of reasoned rebuttal for the above and trust all will agree with the logic behind these facts and figures.
Everyone is a civilian before he joins the Army and is destined to become one again once he hangs his uniform…..but in between he goes under a metamorphosis which tunes him to act and behave differently….he undergoes a tough training regimen and acquires a unshakable belief in his own and his organizations capability……Some call it attitude, even arrogance but we call it Pride and it should not be mistaken for contempt……
Now let us examine what contempt is.
– Contempt is when due to a third rate Defense Minister who interfered so much with the Army that it had to suffer 62 humiliation.
– Contempt is that immediately after a resounding victory of 71…Forces were rewarded with a cut of 20% in pensions.
– Contempt is that widows, disabled soldiers and veterans have to go into prolonged litigation to get their dues.
– Contempt is when 90 year old soldier has to sit on dharna to get OROP….his wait of 40 years is still some more way to go.
– Contempt is when a Kargil Martyr father is asked to pay bribes to get the petrol pump promised to him.
– Contempt is when we don’t have a war memorial to pay our respects to our fallen.
– Contempt is when we send our soldiers to war with critical deficiencies.
– Contempt is when CAG points out that we have only 20 days worth of ammunition.
– Contempt is when we are told that we have lavish life style when people don’t have first idea of what we go through on the borders.
List is endless….but the forces carry on regardless because the covenant of loyalty and sacrifice binds us to our flag…
Of late civilians and Politicians alike have made pretty shallow comments about Armed Forces……
To slight a soldier is easy….but to protect the country is difficult …. hope they have a size good enough to fill his shoes….
For I suspect that the day is not far when he will say…..
Enough, now no more.

*Reform Act of 2014* Demand
From: Chandar Kohli < >
Dear Hindustan Citizens
*Reform Act of 2014*
1. No Tenure / No Pension: Parliamentarians collect a salary while in office but should not receive any pay when they’re out of office. How can they get pension after 5 years of service when even in Army they need to put thrice as much for minimum pension n 20 years for full pension
2. Parliamentarians should purchase their own retirement plans, just as all Indians do.
3. Parliamentarians should no longer vote themselves a pay raise. Their pay should be linked to the CPI or 3%, whichever is lower.
4. Parliamentarians should lose their current health care system and participate in the same health care system as the Indian people.
5. Parliamentarians with tainted records, criminal charges & convictions, past or present should be summarily banned from the parliament and fighting election on any pretext or the other.
6. Parliamentarians should equally abide by all laws they impose on the Indian people.
7. All contracts with past and present Parliamentarians should be void effective 1/1/15
The Indian people did not make this contract with them. Parliamentarians made all these contracts for themselves.
Serving in Parliament is an honor, not a lucrative career. The Founding Fathers envisioned citizen legislators, so ours should serve their term(s), then go home and back to work.
No surrender of subsidies like LPG by citizens unless all subsidies available to MPs and MLAs withdrawn including subsidized food in Parliament canteen
If each person contacts a minimum of twenty people then it will only take three days for most people in India to receive the message. Don’t you think it’s time?
If you agree with the above, pass it on. If not, just delete.
You are one of my 20+ – Please keep it going, and thanks.

How the US and the WTO Crushed India’s Subsidies for Solar Energy
HOW CAN WTO BE SO SHORTSIGHTED WHEN IN EUROPE WE GET GRANTS TOWARDS SOLAR PANELS AND MANY ENERGY SAVINGS INSTALLATION IN THE HOME. IN EUROPE GOVERNMENT GIVE FEED -IN-TARIFF PAYMENT TO SOLAR PANELS OWNERS
USA & UK SUBSIDIZED FRACKING FOR GAS & OIL EXPLORATION;
INDIA SHOULD APPEAL AGAINST WTO DECISION
BY Charles Pierson
On Wednesday, it was announced that a WTO dispute panel had found that India’s subsidies for solar power contravene WTO trade rules. India must now remove the subsidies or face trade sanctions.
The United States filed the WTO complaint in 2013. The US alleged that India’s subsidies for the Jawaharlal Nehru National Solar Mission (NSM) discriminate against foreign suppliers of solar components.
The National Solar Mission is essential to India’s goal of increasing the share of renewables in the country’s energy mix. India currently produces 255 gigawatts of electricity. 71% of that is generated from coal (International Energy Agency, 2012). Only 3 gigawatts of India’s electricity is produced from solar power, 20 gigawatts from wind power. Established in 2010, as part of India’s National Action Plan on Climate Change, NSM’s ambitious goal is to generate 100 gigawatts of electricity annually from solar power by 2022, according to the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy.
The subsidies which provoked the ire of the United States are in the form of Domestic Content Requirements (DCRs). These mandate that a set proportion of specified materials used in the NSM must be manufactured in India. In Phase I of the NSM, the DCRs only covered solar cells and solar modules. From the US standpoint, that was bearable: US companies export few solar cells and solar modules to India. What worried the US was that India might extend the DCRs to include solar thin film technologies. US exports of thin film technologies have dominated the Indian market. US fears were realized in October 2013 when Phase II of NSM extended the DCRs to include thin film technologies.
The WTO decision issued privately to the two nations last week agreed with the United States that India’s DCRs discriminate against foreign manufacturers. This was no surprise. A few years earlier, Ontario had launched a similar effort to encourage the growth of solar power. Japan and the European Union objected to the local content requirements (LCRs) included in Ontario’s Green Economy and Green Ecology Act (GEA). In 2013, the WTO Appellate Body ruled that the GEA’s local content requirements were discriminatory.
Oddly, the trade dispute has taken place at a time when the two countries, at least on the surface, appear to be on good terms. Even stranger, the US is providing its own subsidies to assist India’s solar sector. The US has pledged to provide India with $4 billion to foster the growth of Indian solar power. On November 18, 2014, the two nations signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) under which the US Export-Import Bank agreed to broker up to one billion dollars in low-interest loans for development of renewable energy sources in India. The MoU was signed two months after the WTO, acting at the behest of the US, established a dispute settlement panel to hear the US challenge to India’s subsidies for solar power.
The Ex-Im Bank is currently in limbo, but that does not affect $2 billion in loans for Indian solar energy from the US Trade and Development Agency or a $1 billion loan from the federal Overseas Private Investment Corporation. Now that the WTO has struck down India’s DCRs, all that money can go to purchasing solar equipment from US corporations. So US subsidies to India serve double duty as subsidies to US corporations.
President Obama visited India in January for a summit with Prime Minister Nahendra Modi. Did the US attack on India in the WTO produce friction between the two leaders? Not so you could tell. It was all smiles between Obama and Modi.
Enviros had hoped that the summit would result in a climate deal similar to the one Obama made with China in November 2014. In November, the US agreed to cut its carbon emissions 26% to 28% below 2005 levels by 2025. China pledged that its emissions would cease to grow by 2030. The agreement is non-binding.
No such deal was reached at the Indian summit. Obama and Modi did release a peppy Joint Statement on January 27, 2015. Buried among proposals for cooperation on technology, trade, investment, communications, defense, and education are two paragraphs on clean energy and climate change. India and the US agree to work together to curb emissions. Yet unlike the China deal, no targets are set, making this no more than a feel-good assurance.
In fact, Modi has little interest in cutting carbon emissions which he regards, reasonably enough, as the responsibility of the developed countries. India’s carbon emissions of 1.7 tons per person each year are dwarfed by the Bigfoot-sized carbon footprint of the US: 17 tons for each US citizen each year (World Bank figures for 2011).
US Double Standard on Energy Subsidies
The US attack on India’s energy subsidies represents breathtaking hypocrisy. The US itself provides subsidizes for renewables. Over the past five years, federal subsidies for renewable energy have averaged $39 billion a year. The IRS provides a 30% investment tax credit for solar power. LCRs are part of many state and federal projects in the United States. India has called attention to LCRs attached to renewable energy programs in Michigan, Texas, and California. Apart from renewables, water utilities in West Virginia, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, and parts of New England include LCRs.
India could bring a legal challenge against these subsidies. India has taken what often is the first step leading up to a WTO complaint. India has served questions on the US through the WTO asking the US to explain how its subsidies are consistent with WTO rules. But India has not gone on to file a complaint against subsidies for renewables in the US. Nor has India filed an anti-dumping complaint against the US for selling solar materials in India below cost.
And while the US sends up howls of protest that India’s DCRs constitute protectionism, the US protects its own solar sector. The US imposed tariffs against Chinese solar. China successfully challenged the US tariffs in the WTO.
Why hasn’t India dragged the US before the WTO? The answer, unsurprisingly, is money. Modi’s goal of expanding India’s reliance on renewables is achievable, but it won’t come cheap. It will take at least $100 billion in new investment. More than half of that $100 billion is going to have to come from overseas, specifically the United States. India won’t see a dime of that if it takes the US to the WTO.
So Modi had no choice but to grin for the cameras with his pal Obama at the January summit. India has been able to resist US urging that it set targets for emissions cuts, but other than that the US has gotten everything from India that it wants.
Subsidizing Climate Change
If anything, US subsidies for renewables are too stingy. Not so, US subsidies for fossil fuels. US subsidies for fossil fuels top $15 billion per year. The International Monetary Fund projects fossil fuel subsidies of $333 billion worldwide in 2015. It makes sense when you think about it. Some organizations would not survive without subsidies, like your local ballet company or ExxonMobil or BP.
Imagine that subsidies for fossil fuels were eliminated worldwide. According to an estimate from Faith Birol, chief economist at the International Energy Agency, eliminating subsidies for oil, gas, and coal would cut world GHG emissions in half. This move alone would keep the planet under the 2 C limit required to avert a global environmental catastrophe.
The developed countries know this. And they are concerned about how fossil fuel subsidies contribute to climate change. At its 2009 summit in Pittsburgh, the G20 counties committed to phasing out fossil fuel subsidies. Since then, fossil fuel subsidies have only increased. Looking solely at the United States, since Obama took office in 2009 federal subsidies for fossil fuel production and exploration have climbed 45%. Federal subsidies for fossil fuel production and exploration are only a portion of all US subsidies for fossil fuels.
The National Solar Mission will survive; the WTO decision only strikes down the NSM’s domestic content restrictions. However, removing the DCRs may hobble the project. The WTO may have made it more difficult for India to create a future in which all Indians have electricity without the need to pump more carbon emissions into Earth’s atmosphere. The WTO decision confirms yet again that neoliberalism always favors trade over environmental protection. The Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP) contains all the same features which enabled the WTO’s decision against India’s solar subsidies. Currently, negotiations over the TPP are stalled due to Canada’s resistance to allowing US entry into the Canadian dairy market. Good—the TPP may blow up on the launch pad. If it doesn’t, expect TPP attacks on the environment which will rival—or even surpass—the WTO’s latest decision.

Quotes On Islam By Eminent Indians
Rabindranath Tagore
A very important factor which is making it almost impossible for Hindu-Muslim unity to become an accomplished fact is that the Muslims cannot confine their patriotism to any one country. I had frankly asked many Muslims whether, in the event of any Mohammedan power invading India, they would stand side by side with their Hindu neighbors to defend their common motherland, I was not satisfied with the reply I got from them.
Rabindranath Tagore
We want to draw a veil over our past to appease the Muslims…. We have done it for a long time. It is time we lift the veil from our eyes.
Lala Lajpat Rai
I have devoted most of my time during the last six months to the study of Muslim History and Muslim Law and I am inclined to think that Hindu-Muslim unity is neither possible not practicable… I do honestly and sincerely believe in the necessity and desirability of Hindi-Muslim unity. I am also fully prepared to trust the Muslim leaders, but what about the injunctions of the Koran and Hadis. The leaders cannot override them.
Sarat Chandra Chatterji
If we go by the lessons of history we have to accept that the goal of the Hindu-Muslim unity is a mirage. When Muslims first entered India, they looted the country, destroyed the temples, broke the idols, raped the women and heaped innumerable indignities on the people of this country. Today it appears that such noxious behavior has entered the bone marrow of Muslims. Unity can be achieved among equals…. I am of the view that Hindu-Muslim unity, which could not be achieved during the last thousand years, will not materialize during the ensuing thousand years.
Annie Besant (The founder of the Congress Party)
The inner Muslim feeling of hatred against ‘unbelievers’ has spring up naked and unashamed…. We have seen, revived, as guide in practical politics, the old Muslim religion of the sword…. In thinking of an independent India, the menace of Mohammedan rule has to be considered.
Sri Aurobindo
I am sorry they are making a fetish of this Hindu-Muslim unity. It is no use ignoring facts; some day the Hindus may have to fight the Muslims and they must prepare for it. Hindu–Muslim unity should not mean the subjection of the Hindus. Every time the mildness of the Hindu has given way to barbarism of Islam. The best solution would be to allow the Hindus to organize themselves and the Hindu-Muslim unity would take care of itself, it would automatically solve the problem.
Sri Aurobindo
You can live amicably with a religion whose principle is toleration. But how is it possible to live with a religion whose principle is ‘I will not tolerate’? You cannot build unity on such basis. Perhaps the only way of making the Mohammedans harmless is to make them lose their faith in their religion.
Dr. B.R. Ambedkar
To talk about Hindu-Muslim unity from a thousand platforms or to give it blazoning headlines is to perpetrate an illusion whose cloudily structure dissolves itself at the exchange of brickbats and desecration of tombs and temples….Nothing I could say can so well show the futility of Hindu-Muslim unity. Hindu-Muslim unity up to now was at least in sight although it was like a mirage. Today it is out of sight and also out of mind.
Dr.B.R. Ambedkar
The brotherhood of Islam is not the universal brotherhood of man. It is brotherhood of Muslims for Muslims only. There is a fraternity but its benefit is confined to those within that corporation. For those who are outside the corporation, there is nothing but contempt, slavery and enmity.
Ram Swarup
Religious harmony is a desirable thing. But it takes two to play the game. Unfortunately such a sentiment holds no position in Islamic theology.
Shiv Prasad Roy
Pakistan and Bangladesh are their fixed deposits. Those are Islamic states. No one else can lay claim on them. India is a joint account. Plunder it as much as you please.
Francois Gautier
This is a profession of faith of a Muslim: ‘I certify that there is no God other than Allah, of whom Mohammed is the only prophet’, which means in effect: After and before Mohammed, there is nobody else…’Thus the whole religion of Islam is based on negation: nobody but us, no other religion but ours’. And if you disagree, you shall die. This puts a serious limitation to tolerance and from this strong belief sprang all the horrors of the Muslim invasion of India.
Francois Gautier
Let it be said right away: the massacres perpetrated by Muslims in India are unparalleled in history, bigger than the holocaust of the Jews by the Nazis; or the massacre of the Armenians by the Turks; more extensive even than the slaughter of the South American native populations by the invading Spanish and Portuguese in early days of America.
Will Durant
The Mohammedan conquest of India was probably the bloodiest story in history.
Alain Danielou
From the time Muslims started arriving, around 632 A D, the history of India becomes a long, monotonous series of murders, massacres, spoliations, and destructions.
Rizwan Salim
Their minds filled with venom against the idol-worshippers of Hindustan, the Muslims destroyed a large number of ancient Hindu temples. This is a historical fact, mentioned by Muslim chronicles and others of the time.
Rizwan Salim
Savages at a very low level of civilization and no culture worth the name, from Arabia and west Asia, began entering India from the early century onwards. Islamic invaders demolished countless Hindu temples, shattered uncountable sculpture and idols, plundered innumerable palaces and forts of Hindu kings, killed vast numbers of Hindu men and carried off Hindu women..….. But many Indians still do not seem to recognize that the alien Muslim marauders destroyed the historical evolution of the earth’s most mentally advanced civilization, the most richly imaginative culture, and the most vigorously creative society.
Irfan Husain
The Muslim heroes who figure larger than life in our history books committed many dreadful crimes. Mahmud of Ghazni, Qutb-ud-Din Aibak, Balban, Mohammed bin Qasim, and Sultan Mohammad Tughlak, all have blood-stained hands that the passage of years has not cleansed. Indeed, the presence of Muslim historians on their various campaigns has ensured that the memory of their deeds will live long after they were buried…..Seen through Hindu eyes, the Muslim invasion of their homeland was an unmitigated disaster.
Dr. Younis Shaikh
….eighty million were slaughtered and millions of women were raped…..it was standard practice for Islamic warlords like Ghori and Ghazni to unleash the mass rape and enslavement of hundreds of thousands of women after the slaughter of all males. An extremely large percentage of Muslims in South Asia today are the progeny of forcible conversions and systematic rape campaigns by marauding Muslim invaders.
Koenraad Elst
..the number of victims of the persecutions of Hindus by Muslims is easily of the same order of magnitude as that of the Nazi extermination policy, though no one has yet made the effort of tabulating the reported massacres and proposing a reasonable estimate of how many millions exactly must have died in the course of the Islamic campaign against Hinduism (such research is taboo). On top of these there is a similar number of abductions and deportations to harems and slave-markets, as well as centuries of political oppression and cultural destruction……

Subject: BJP is Brazenly Cultivating Muslims

Dear Friends,
We have just shared with you the excellent review of the Urdu Press by the India Policy Foundation, exposing their mischief potential.
We have, on the other hand, the case of the ruling BJP party blandly cultivating the Muslim community through, if we may say, “misuse” of Urdu. Let us in this connection read together a news report, appearing in p.2 of “The Asian Age” of July 16, 2015:
Quote (.)
BJP to reach out to Muslims with Urdu booklets
Jul 16, 2015 – Amita Verma | Lucknow-The Asian Age
In a new initiative to reach out to Muslims on the eve of the Assembly elections in Bihar, West Bengal and then UP, the BJP has decided to publish the achievements of the Modi government in Urdu. Pamphlets, booklets and even posters will be published in Urdu to dilute the party’s anti-Muslim image and also to reach out to Muslim voters.
UP BJP minority cell president Rumana Siddiqui confirmed that Urdu literature about the government’s achievements will soon be made available to the UP BJP office for distribution.
“So far, all party literature used to be published in Hindi, and at times, in English, but now we are publishing in Urdu too so that the Muslim voters can read it themselves and assess the performance of the Modi government,” a party functionary said.
The party, however, denies that this is a strategy to woo Muslims ahead of the UP Assembly elections.
“This is not being done for UP alone. These pamphlets and booklets will be distributed in Muslim- populated areas even in states that are not going to elections in the next two years. The BJP is a national party with a sizeable membership and every citizen in the country should know what the government is doing, irrespective of the fact whether he is our voter or not,” the functionary said.
BJP national vice-president Dinesh Sharma said that the party was against the appeasement of Muslims but was certainly not against the Muslim community. “This is not an exercise to seek votes. Everybody has the right to know about the achievements of the government. Muslims will get the message in a right way if it is given in Urdu,” he said and added that pamphlets highlighting the performance of the Modi government in the past one year may also be published in other regional languages soon.
Unquote (.)
Friends, there is no reason to disbelieve the press report, especially when there has been no contradiction published. We have read the report several times. The more we read, the greater was the sense of revulsion overtaking us. A Hindu nationalist party, now ruling the country, can stoop so low and then publicize that. A lot more effective work is done without bringing the same in the public domain.
It beats us hollow to understand why this planned program to impress upon this particular minority community the achievements of the government. If the intention is to secure Muslim votes in the forthcoming Bihar State elections, the BJP leaders do not seem to have learnt their lessons. The fiasco enacted in the last Kashmir elections has apparently fallen flat on them. A Hindu nationalist party can Never, Never win over the Muslims. Is this so difficult to understand what ordinary apolitical citizen easily understands?
Can the BJP leaders answer why they are not doing the same work in respect of the poor tribals in various parts of India? If they take their support, vote in political terms, they would be sadly mistaken. The majority Hindu community is, as it is, splintered, but they will not take this blatant courtship of only one minority community kindly. So, the party should be prepared for sharp backlash.
Well, we are not into politics, which is, by and large, a “No Go” area for us. Political skill is not our forte. We felt concerned because many other more deserving communities needed equal attention in the matter of educating them in political matters.
Friends, you will find we have endorsed this mail to the concerned for whatever worth it is to them. They ought not to take the general public for granted. Some amongst you would recall we had strongly protested against the Minister for Minority Affairs going on tax payers’ money on a virtual “Bharat Darshan” trip in the name of removing alleged existence of apprehension in the minds of the Muslim community that the government was not doing enough for them, which is farthest from truth.
Now, it seems to be a combined effort of the party and the government to woo the Muslims. The majority community must think over and plan how to effectively protest against such “conspiracy”. This CAN NOT be accepted in silence.

Your sevak,

Hindus’ Letter to PM Narendra Modi
From: Kumar Arun < >
Dear PM of Bharat /Narendra bhai,
Namaskaar!
You didn’t earn the chair of prime minister rather people bestowed upon you. Not all Indians wanted you to reach where you are today. It was poor villagers of India & downtrodden Hindus who trusted you and let you win. Neither your mentors: ABV or LKA nor BJP members cared much. If you have been thanking many of them. I am sorry you are completely mistaken. Don’t you know who actually saved your pride and allowed you to go where you are today?
On the foreign policies, your friendship with one of the weakest & confused president of USA, Barack Hussain Obama is very much damaging for the transformation of India into Bharat. You know that but you are looking something from Obama and that majority of your voters in India can’t figure it out. The fact is coming out by your deeds. Although we have patience and will see what happens in your 2nd year term. However, unless & until you fulfill your promises (highlighted below) to majority of “Hindu Voters”, most likely you will not succeed. Indeed, westerns may bestow you a Nobel Prize but Hindus will offer tears only.
Before May 18, 2016, Modi government must do/implement/execute followings:
- Must investigate all corrupt politicians from all political parties. Any one found guilty of breaking laws of the land, especially doing unconstitutional, must be indicted and punished by law.
- Must investigate powerful non-politicians, ex: Priyanka & Robert Vadra and others for wrong doings. I for one would like to know under which law he was given free pass on all the airports in India.
- Appoint 21 members committee of true scholars to rewrite “constitution of Bharat” and must replace Indian Penal Code (IPC) which was jammed in the throat of Hindus by the British occupiers.

Arun ji,
Thanks for this appropriate letter to PM.
If on the 16 May 2014 the PM and People stood on one spot and moved from there, today the divergence has gone beyond 100 degrees.
People are watching something in utter disbelief. They had expected:-
the Hindu refugees back to Srinagar;
Construction work to begin in Ayodhya;
Article 370 deleted from the Constitution;
Jammu and Ladakh to be made States (away from “cancerous” Muslim Kashmir);
Memorials to be put up for the Hindu DEAD during that bogus Partition;
Work was to begin on the new Constitution of Hindusthan (replacing Nehru’s pseudo-secular “mongrel dog” of a document!);
Corruption cases were to begin against all those whose name was tarnished by scams, commissions, bribes and land grab; and son on.
But it is the “SILENCE OF THE DEAD” on all fronts now! The bust of Gandhi in the PM’s office makes appeasement of Muslims and cowardice the State policy instead of Hindu “Shakti”!
People are speechless due to embarrassment. They still have immense respect for Modi and are silent. On the other hand Sonia & Crooks have lost all respect and people abuse them openly.
But whether it is a saint or those thieves (thugs), our Hindusthan is not getting on the right lines and is going wayward. That is where the danger lies.
If the defeated Hindu nation does not muster guts and show boldness & courage, second Partition of India will become inevitable. Already we have seen the unthinkable- slaughtering a cow laid on Tricolour (national flag) drenched in blood!
Last time when our leaders just winked, the country was disemboweled and lost five provinces in an instant. Nehru, the Crook, did everything in his power to FOOL the nation into believing in NORMALCY while in reality, and strategically speaking, the balance of power on the sub-continent had been shattered to the advantage of the enemy who now calls the shots, having the atom bombs and all the volition & motivation, like the suicide bombers, to DROP them, hoping for the rewards in paradise!
People in ivory towers go deaf. And here is the proof! But whenever that happens a new revolution is born.
Best wishes
Rajput
