Many of us must be having personal knowledge of what the Congress did in Assam and the North East- they allowed large scale settlement of Bangladeshies in exclusive and large shanties and then made laws to regularise these , all in the name of vote bank and democracy ( Yeah. Some neta even talked of the need to shed the milk of human kindness ! ). No one cares a damn about the national interest, as long as he remains in power to loot the people and the nation. In 1978-9 I was living and studying in Denmark   . But in 1978 – even in Copenhagen, one didn’t see Muslim immigrants.
The Danish population embraced visitors, celebrated the exotic, and went out of its way to protect each of its citizens. It was proud of its new brand of socialist liberalism one in development since the conservatives had lost power in 1929 – a system where no worker had to struggle to survive, where one ultimately could count upon the state as in, perhaps, no other western nation at the time.

The rest of Europe saw the Scandinavians as free-thinking, progressive and infinitely generous in their welfare policies. Denmark boasted low crime rates, devotion to the environment, a superior educational system and a history of humanitarianism.

Denmark was also most generous in its immigration policies – it offered the best welcome in Europe to the new immigrant: generous welfare payments from first arrival plus additional perks in transportation, housing and education. It was determined to set a world example for inclusiveness and multiculturalism. How could it have predicted that one day in 2005 a series of political cartoons in a newspaper would spark violence that would leave dozens dead in the streets -all because its commitment to multiculturalism would come back to bite?

By the 1990’s the growing urban Muslim population was obvious – and its unwillingness to integrate into Danish society was obvious. Years of immigrants had settled into Muslim-exclusive enclaves.

As the Muslim leadership became more vocal about what they considered the decadence of Denmark’s liberal way of life, the Danes – once so welcoming – began to feel slighted. Many Danes had begun to see Islam as incompatible with their long-standing values: belief in personal liberty and free speech, in equality for women, in tolerance for other ethnic groups, and a deep pride in Danish heritage and history.
An article by Daniel Pipes and Lars Hedegaard, in which they forecasted, accurately, that the growing immigrant problem in Denmark would explode. In the article they reported:

‘Muslim immigrants constitute 5 percent of the population but consume upwards of 40 percent of the welfare spending.’ ‘Muslims are only 4 percent of Denmark’s 5..4 million people but make up a majority of the country’s convicted rapists, an especially combustible issue given that practically all the female victims are non-Muslim. Similar, if lesser, disproportions are found in other crimes.’

‘Over time, as Muslim immigrants increase in numbers, they wish less to mix with the indigenous population. A recent survey finds that only 5 percent of young Muslim immigrants would readily marry a Dane.’ ‘Forced marriages – promising a newborn daughter in Denmark to a male cousin in the home country, then compelling her to marry him, sometimes on pain of death – are one problem’

‘Muslim leaders openly declare their goal of introducing Islamic law once Denmark’s Muslim population grows large enough – a not-that-remote prospect. If present trends persist, one sociologist estimates, every third inhabitant of Denmark in 40 years will be Muslim.’

It is easy to understand why a growing number of Danes would feel that Muslim immigrants show little respect for Danish values and laws. An example is the phenomenon common to other European countries and Canada: some Muslims in Denmark who opted to leave the Muslim faith have been murdered in the name of Islam, while others hide in fear for their lives. Jews are also threatened and harassed openly by Muslim leaders in Denmark, a country where once Christian citizens worked to smuggle out nearly all of their 7,000 Jews by night to Sweden – before the Nazis could invade. I think of my Danish friend Elsa – who. as a teenager. Had dreaded crossing the street to the bakery every morning under the eyes of occupying Nazi soldiers – and I wonder what she would say today.

In 2001, Denmark elected the most conservative government in some 70 years– one that had some decidedly non-generous ideas about liberal unfettered immigration. Today Denmark has the strictest immigration policies in Europe . ( Its effort to protect itself has been met with accusations of ‘racism’ by liberal media across Europe – even as other governments struggle to right the social problems wrought by years of too-lax immigration.)

If you wish to become Danish, you must attend three years of language classes. You must pass a test on Denmark’s history, culture, and a Danish language test .

Then, you must live in Denmark for 7 years before applying for citizenship.
You must demonstrate intent to work, and have a job waiting. If you wish to bring a spouse into Denmark, you must both be over 24 years of age, and you won’t find it so easy anymore to move your friends and family to Denmark with you.

You will not be allowed to build a mosque in Copenhagen. Although your children have a choice of some 30 Arabic culture and language schools in Denmark, they will be strongly encouraged to assimilate to Danish society in ways that past immigrants weren’t.

In 2006, the Danish minister for employment, Claus Hjort Frederiksen, spoke publicly of the burden of Muslim immigrants on the Danish welfare system, and it was horrifying:

the government’s welfare committee had calculated that if immigration from Third World countries were blocked, 75 percent of the cuts needed to sustain the huge welfare system in coming decades would be unnecessary. In other words, the welfare system, as it existed, was being exploited by immigrants to the point of eventually bankrupting the government. ‘We are simply forced to adopt a new policy on immigration’.
‘The calculations of the welfare committee are terrifying and show how unsuccessful the integration of immigrants has been up to now,’ he said.

A large thorn in the side of Denmark’s imams is the Minister of Immigration and Integration, Rikke Hvilshoj.. She makes no bones about the new policy toward immigration,

‘The number of foreigners coming to the country makes a difference,’ Hvilshoj says, ‘There is an inverse correlation between how many come here and how well we can receive the foreigners that come.’

And on Muslim immigrants needing to demonstrate a willingness to blend in,

‘In my view, Denmark should be a country with room for different cultures and religions. Some values, however, are more important than others. We refuse to question democracy, equal rights, and freedom of speech.’

Hvilshoj has paid a price for her show of backbone.. Perhaps to test her resolve, the leading radical imam in Denmark, Ahmed Abdel Rahman Abu Laban, demanded that the government pay blood money to the family of a Muslim who was murdered in a suburb of Copenhagen, stating that the family’s thirst for revenge could be thwarted for money.. When Hvilshoj dismissed his demand, he argued that in Muslim culture the payment of retribution money was common, to which Hvilshoj replied that what is done in a Muslim country is not necessarily what is done in Denmark. The Muslim reply came soon after: her house was torched while she, her husband and children slept. All managed to escape unharmed, but she and her family were moved to a secret location and she and other ministers were assigned bodyguards for the first time – in a country where such murderous violence was once so scarce..

Her government has slid to the right, and her borders have tightened. Many believe that what happens in the next decade will determine whether Denmark survives as a bastion of good living, humane thinking and social responsibility, or whether it becomes a nation at civil war with supporters of Sharia law.

And meanwhile, Canadians clamor for stricter immigration policies, and demand an end to state welfare programs that allow many immigrants to live on the public dole. As we in Canada look at the enclaves of Muslims amongst us, and see those who enter our shores too easily, dare live on our taxes, yet refuse to embrace our culture, respect our traditions, participate in our legal system, obey our laws, speak our language, appreciate our history .. We would do well to look to Denmark, and say a prayer for her future and for our own.

Vegetarianism is the fastest growing trend in the developed world. Here are 21 reasons why you should think about turning green too.

Avoiding meat is one of the best and simplest ways to cut down your fat consumption. Modern farm animals are deliberately fattened up to increase profits. Eating fatty meat increases your chances of having a heart attack or developing cancer.

Every minute of every working day, thousands of animals are killed in slaughter-houses. Pain and misery are common. In the US alone, 500,000 animals are killed for meat every hour.

There are millions of cases of food poisoning recorded every year. The vast majority are caused by eating meat.

Meat contains absolutely nothing – no proteins, vitamins or minerals – that the human body cannot obtain perfectly happily from a vegetarian diet.

African countries – where millions are starving to death – export grain to the developed world so that animals can be fattened for our dining tables.
‘Meat’ can include the tail, head, feet, rectum and spinal cord of an animal.
A sausage can contain ground up intestines. How can anyone be sure that the intestines are empty when they are ground up? Do you really want to eat the content of a pig’s intestines?
If we eat the plants we grow instead of feeding them to animals, the world’s food shortage will disappear virtually overnight. Remember that 100 acres of land will produce enough beef for 20 people but enough wheat to feed 240 people.
Every day, tens of millions of one-day-old male chicks are killed because they will not be able to lay eggs. There are no rules about how this mass slaughter takes place. Some are crushed or suffocated to death. Many are used for fertiliser or fed to other animals.

Animals who die for your dinner table die alone, in terror, in sadness and in pain. The killing is merciless and inhumane.

It’s must easier to become (and stay) slim if you are a vegetarian. (By ‘slim’, I do not mean ‘abnormally slender’ or ‘underweight’ but rather, an absense of excess weight!)

Half the rainforests in the world have been destroyed to clear ground to graze cattle to make beefburgers. The burning of the forests contributes 20% of all green-house gases. Roughtly 1,000 species a year become extinct because of the destruction of the rainforests. Approximately 60 million people a year die of starvation. All those lives could be saved because those people could eat grain used to fatten cattle and other farm animals – if Americans ate 10% less meat.

The world’s fresh water shortage is being made worse by animal farming. And meat producers are the biggest polluters of water. It takes 2,500 gallons of water to produce one pound of meat. If the US meat industry wasn’t supported by the taxpayer paying a large proportion of its water costs, then hamburger meat would cost $35 a pound.

If you eat meat, you are consuming hormones that were fed to the animals. No one knows what effect those hormones will have on your health. In some parts of the world, as many as one on four hamburgers contain growth hormones that were originally given to cattle.

The following diseases are commoner among meat eaters: anaemia, appendicitis, arthritis, breast cancer, cancer of the colon, cancer of the prostrate, constipation, diabetes, gallstones, gout, high blood pressure, indigestion, obesity, piles, strokes and varicose veins. Lifelong vegetarians visit hospital 22% less often than meat eaters and for shorter stays. Vegetarians have a 20% lower blood cholestrol level than meat eaters and this reduces heart attack and cancer risks considerably.

Some farmers use tranquillisers to keep animals calm. Other routinely use antibiotics to starve off infection. When you eat meat you are eating those drugs. In America, 55% of all antibiotics are fed to animals and the percentage of staphylococci infections resistant to penicillin went up from 14% in 1960 to 91% in 1988.
In a lifetime, the average meat eater will consumer 36 pigs, 36 sheep and 750 chickens and turkeys. Do you want that much carnage on your conscience?

Animals suffer from pain and fear just as much as you do. How would you like to spend your last hours locked in a truck, packed into a cage with hundreds of other terrified animal and then cruelly pushed into a blood soaked death chamber. Anyone who eats meat condones and supports the way animals are treated.

Animals which are a year old are often far more rational – and capable of logical thought – than six week old babies. Pigs and sheep are far more intelligent than small children. Eating dead animals is barbaric.

Vegetarians are fitter than meat eaters. many of the world’s most successful athletes are vegetarian.

DISHONEST CHRISTIAN EVANGELISTS IN FAKE HINDU CULTURAL GARB

For hundreds of years, Christian missionaries have been selling fake paradise in India. Missionaries promised “the eyes of the blind will be opened, the ears of the deaf unstopped, and the wilderness will burst out in fruitful beauty.” They falsely paraded the prophecy of the wolf with the lamb and the kid with the leopard and promised Biblical paradise. Missionary promises were couched in scholastic terms but their goal was political, social and economic exploitation and to liberate Hindus from their spiritual tradition and to enslave them with the rigid dogma. Christian colonialists did their utmost to conceal from the world the true nature of their deceptive techniques of these missionary tormentors. Colonial masters succeeded in muffling victims of conversion. The full dramatic story of deceptive missionary activities against Hindus has yet to be told, and the need for telling it is now more compelling than ever, not only to expose their games, but also to warn gullible victims.
Now Christian evangelists are devising various modern deceptive plans to convert unsuspecting and ignorant Hindus. They are on a crusade march to convert Hindus by unholy, dishonest means of deception, exploitation and fraud. The exploitation of peace loving, tolerant, innocent Hindus by cunning strategies and deceptive psychological programming is aimed at the destruction of the ancient spiritual culture and Hindu tradition. “Until Hindu culture is conquered, Hinduism remains. Hinduism is wedded to culture in indissoluble bonds till death does them apart. Hindu culture must be Christianized, if we were to win Hindus. Hindus must be won, if we were to win India.” says A Guide to Missionary Tactics. For several years missionaries have launched a cultural war against Hindus for domination, control and conversion. While several Christian cults adopted a decidedly heretical Christian doctrine, modern day evangelists continue to use dishonest and deceptive psychological techniques to execute their cabal.
For a long time, Hinduism has generally dictated the ethical standards by which Hindus live. However, a growing number of evangelists in India have rejected the ethical standards as impractical and moral principles as outdated. For evangelist crusaders-there is no distinction between right and wrong, good and bad and there is no ethical standards. Evangelists decide for themselves what is right and what is wrong. Their ideas and deceptive standards demonstrate that they have an inherent potential for reflecting immoral, unethical acts.

Wow. That’s really impressive. I guess we had better get down on our knees right now, and start confessing everything, holding nothing back, as well as support the Hindu sounding organization! Right? Wrong!
At first, you may find it as a spiritual Hindu organization motivated to do good. Now read on and weigh the contents in accurate scale and you will know that it is an “ecumenical communion of the disciples of Lord Jesus Christ” Swami Sachidananda Bharathi in saffron dress is an evangelist and the Dharma Bharathi Ashram is an institution for indoctrination of gullible Hindus. This dishonest fake name is an attempt to develop a rapport with Hindus without divulging their own evil intention. The name of the organization looks wonderful on the outside, but on the inside is very manipulating. It is a desperate attempt to trick Hindus into joining the Christian Ashram. They are after Hindu mind and money. It is a sophisticated mind control and recruitment technique that has been refined over time. Evangelists need to operate using deception. Why? Because: if Hindus knew their true practices and beliefs beforehand, then they would not join. Evangelists need to hide the truth from Hindus until they think they are ready to accept the fake paradise.
It is a slick well-orchestrated public relations front which hides what the group is really like. They want to help the poor, support peace and revitalize environment. It is all fake selling points.
The ideas of deception are not an original idea of the Christian evangelist Swami Sachidananda. A Christian missionary wrote about the methodology of Christianizing Hindus in India some 80 years ago using a similar deception. The missionary wrote “If we are insistent in converting Hindus, let it be remembered that until we adopt Hindu cultural practices, it is difficult to lure Hindus for Jesus”. Christian evangelist Swami Sachidananda Bharathi and his organization are adding a new deceptive dimension based on the old missionary technique.
The deceptive tactics of the evangelist Swami Sachidananda Bharathi (formerly N.V. John) and other slick evangelists include misquoting Hindu verses, building Churches that look similar to temples, Ashrams, doing Christian ceremonies like Hindu festivals, and adopting Hindu names for conversion centers. They construct preaching centers which are outwardly as closely as akin to Hindu Ashrams. Christian evangelists continue the outward form of Hinduism while adding a new dimension based on the Bible.
The real intent is to implement the policy of psycho programming and mind manipulation to demand the voluntary participation of Hindus for conversion. The plan is to break the spirit or sap the vitality of Hindus, who continue to enjoy a spiritual life. It is a trick for exploitation and bondage as well as to crush Hindus. The evangelist strategy of enslavement and dehumanization is now turned into dishonest and deceptive strategy. It is an attempt to convince Hindus that they are not complete until they accept Jesus as the only God. Over the past 60 years, thousands of Hindus have been deceptively converted specifically by Christian evangelists with fake promises and deceptive tactics that masquerade Christian belief in the guise of Hindu spiritual practices. The Christian gospel is preached by “Christian Swamis” wearing saffron clothes and Rudraksha (Beads). These fake Christian swamis promote their rigid Christian faith by using a new Hindu name.
These dishonest Hindu sounding Christian organizations and fake Christian swamis have influenced secularists, intellectuals, social liberals and the media by psycho linguistic programming and deceptive propaganda. This method of proselytizing increases the number of contact people, who serve as conduits to the Hindus in social settings. Contrary to popular perception, it is not only emotionally unstable to Hindus who fall prey to evangelist efforts. In fact, all Hindus are susceptible. They often target college campuses, hospitals, housing colonies, senior residences, and poor Hindu neighborhoods. They deliberately misquote, mistranslate and misinterpret Hindu scriptures and puranas in an attempt to prove that Jesus was both an avatar and Hindu God.
Their deliberate and dishonest de-legitimization of Hinduism, in concert with misleading exploitation of Hindu symbols, religious artifacts and even traditional music serve to confuse the potential convert, making him/her more vulnerable.
Secular Hindus, social liberals and the media have been very slow in catching on to the fact that the evangelists are in a war, -a war that is cultural, religious and political.
Hindu spirituality involves experience and understanding of life, space, time and the universe. It is beyond that which can be managed by a closed, rigid, dualistic dogma. However, based on its pitiful and absurd understanding of spiritual life, the evangelists call everything outside of its own dogma “superstitions” and subject Hindus to brainwashing and deceptive conversion. Those unwilling to abandon spiritual practices are insulted and bombarded with shameless, wicked psycho linguistic programming.
Hindu culture is significant because it reaffirms for us that we once organized complex civilizations all over the continent. We can take these traditions and generate more advanced ideas for peaceful human survival with freedom and dignity. Let all Hindus join to be free to create, and let a Hindu spiritual revolution be born.
Hindus must vow an iron vow that we will never either tolerate or allow any deceptive mind manipulation of Hindus. This means that no Hindu should participate in such fake organizations. The task is for the lion-hearted Hindus. It requires discipline, commitment and devotion to Hindu culture and society on several levels. Hindus should extricate themselves from the pseudo secular, colonized mind. A colonized mind is always on the verge of submission, the destruction of the creativity, and the suicide of minds. A creative Hindu mind can expose these evangelist wolf dressed in sheep’s skin and preaching dogmatic faith in Hindu cultural garb.

My apology for the slow response. I wonder how did you come to conclusion that I am attacking Christianity? I am merely a messenger and putting forth the Christian doctrine as it is. Following central doctrines are Christian, not mine. Correct? If you disagree please do question Bible or Christianity, not me.

A. Jesus is the only way to heaven. All Christians go to Heaven, no matter how evil. All others go to Hell, no matter how virtuous.

John 14:6 Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.

Acts 4:12 Nor is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.

Timothy 2:5 For there is one God and one Mediator between God and men, the Man Christ Jesus

John 3:16-18 For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son. Whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. But he who does not believe is condemned already.

It means all your non-Christian ancestors are in hell. Do you agree? Can the doctrine be true?

Consider the views:

Who is your brother? Who is insulting you and your ancestors?

Another central doctrine of Christianity is ‘sins are transferable.’ Adam and Eve commit sin, and all humanity is sinful. Babies are born in sin. People commit crime and Jesus pays for it. Jesus pays for crimes committed only by Christians and that include crimes to be committed in future.

Truth: ‘Sins are not transferable.’ Each of us has to face consequences of our deeds.

B. Nepal is a small and poor nation. But the poverty is of money, not of spirit. Nepal is the nation on high Himalayas, abode of Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati. You are correct to think that I know, respect and proud of my ancestors. I wish you could do the same. You agree with Christianity that all your virtuous but non-Christian ancestors are in Hell, do not you? What a shame.

C. You wrote ‘Veda is not correct’ as a defense of Bible. You are wrong. Truthful of Veda has no relation on un-truth of Bible. It is only a sorry ‘red herring’ on your part to defend the Bible. Veda cannot be wrong. Veda is the collection of the knowledge base as known to the people living in the Sharaswati river basin. It has mathematics, medicine, architect, philosophies, history, geography and others as known then. A theory or an idea may be wrong, but the collection cannot be wrong. Library is a collection of books. A book or a theory within may be wrong. But the library cannot be wrong. I am sure there are many issues in Vedas, some correct, some not so. Vedas them self differentiate between widely accepted views (Shruti) and individual views (Smriti). Please give me quotes from Bible and let me give my opinion. Veda is not written by Barbarians. However, who cares about the author? It is the content that matters. Here are a few quotes from Veda. Which ones you have objection to?

D. There are many version of Jesus all the way from never existed to Jewish Rabbi. I do appreciate his teaching of love to all, a Bhakti margi. There are scholars who forward information on him. According to them his biological father was ‘Panthera’, a Roman soldier. In his teens he ran away to and then again returned to India after being crucified by Romans. Evidently he did not die on the cross. I did not ask why he could not save himself. I state others sins cannot be paid by him. He neither claimed to do so. Otherwise he would have been saying all along that he came to pay for others sins, including sins of Romans. The conversation between Jesus and others, including ordinary people, Jewish priests or Roman governor would have been quite different. Would not that be?

E. Contrary to your assertion Hinduism has one divinity and Christianity has many. I do not know how many Gods there are? Do you know? Have you seen even a single one? Thus, to talk about Monotheism being better than polytheism is nonsense. However, Hinduism considers one divinity ‘Ishwar’, which manifest as many Devi/Devata as per the human needs. Bible starts with the assumption that there are many Gods, each limited by territory. Like God of Delhi or God of Bihar, a geographical issue or local nationalism. Ancient people there used to worship all of them. Moses wanted worshiping only one of them. That is, it is not an understanding that there is only one divinity. Rather it is choosing to worship a single God out of many. That is done to militarize the Jewish tribe. Military can have only one commander. Bible is not really a scripture about spirituality, but subjective political history of Jewish people.

F. Hinduism is a collection of Dharmas. A Dharma is about truth ‘Satya’ and spiritual practice ‘Yoga.’ In essence the path to Heaven is through practice of ‘Good heart’ within and ‘Good deed’ outside. Please read the article ‘Dharma and religion’, ‘Karma’ and ‘Way of knowledge’ for more explanations. Dharma is not religion. Religions like Christianity is about social control through brain washing. They are not comparable. Hindu mythology carries messages within, not just stories like Iliad. Please read the explanation on ‘rebirth’ and law of Karma in the article ‘Karma.’ It is not really about ‘believing’ many births, but about careful thinking and charting out assumptions vs. explanations. ‘Brahman’ is not a person, but the ultimate reality. What you see around is ‘Samsar’ a created reality, a projection of Brahman. It cannot be understood intellectually, but may be realized through meditation. These issues may be a little above your understanding. So first read about and meditate before giving your opinion. Pouring Ghee on statue is culture, not spirituality. It is not like eating flesh and drinking blood of Jesus. Caste system is not about Dharma or Gods, but about social evolution. It is about jobs specialization and motivation, not Dharma. Our Gods love all regardless of caste or creed.

G. Christianity does not allow free thinking. That is why Church burned alive Professor Giordano Bruno for saying ‘Earth moves around the Sun’, and Church\Pope instituted inquisition. They burned books and libraries. Later Europeans had to go searching for their own heritage in foreign libraries. Do you call ‘Inquisition’ freedom of thinking?

New Delhi’s Controversial Birth

¶Few cities of recent vintage have a history as complicated and contested as New Delhi, which turned 100 on Monday. Now the seat of the world’s largest democracy, New Delhi began in 1911 as a grand imperial showpiece meant to stand for eternal British rule over the Indian subcontinent. But during its two decades of construction New Delhi became the stage upon which Indians gained increasing political advantage over a crumbling Raj.

¶ New Delhi literally began as an imperial edict. In December 1911, King George V traveled to Delhi in order to be crowned emperor of India at an elaborate durbar, or gathering: he was the first reigning British monarch to step foot on Indian soil. After several days of ceremonies at a temporary city consisting of some 40,000 tents and featuring its own railway system, King George V offered two boons to his subjects: First, he revoked the partition of Bengal, an act that had unleashed violent anti-British agitation. Second, he announced the creation of a new city in the vicinity of Delhi to replace Calcutta as the imperial capital. The city, George hoped, would be a fusion of Indian and European architecture, according to a letter from his viceroy to one of his colleagues.

¶Herbert Baker and Edwin Lutyens, the two architects appointed to design much of the city, seemed to be curious choices for such a venture. Baker worked in South Africa, where he had become a disciple of the arch-imperialist Cecil Rhodes. Lutyens, who previously had mostly designed English country houses, was known for his occasional prejudiced outbursts against India. In a letter to his wife, for example, Lutyens described Indian architecture as “essentially the building style of children.” Even the Taj Mahal, he complained, was “small but very costly beer.” Both men reveled in their assignment to create a monument to imperialism. “Hurrah for despotism!” Baker wrote to Lutyens. “On the day you sail [to India] you should feel like Alexander when he crossed the Hellespont to conquer Asia.”

¶In spite of their prejudices, Lutyens and Baker managed to create a remarkable assemblage at New Delhi that melded European and Indian architecture into an innovative whole. Lutyens’ Viceroy’s House had a dome modeled after the Buddhist stupa at Sanchi, commissioned in the third century B.C. by Ashoka. In order to battle Delhi’s blazing summer heat, Lutyens adapted Mughal techniques for indoor cooling by installing rooftop fountains that cascaded into the interior of buildings. Baker laced his classical Secretariat blocks with Mughal-style domes, cupolas and cornices. For other elements of their city plan, they took cues from Washington, Paris and Canberra in addition to Fatehpur Sikri and Jaipur.

¶New Delhi inspired a lively architectural debate amongst the uppermost echelons of British Indian society. But for Indians themselves, it became the object of resentment. Parts of the new city seemed completely antithetical to the Raj’s promises to Indian nationalists of gradual political reform. Above the entrances to his Secretariats, for example, Baker engraved a rather patronizing phrase: “Liberty will not descend to a people, A people must raise themselves to liberty, It is a blessing that must be earned before it can be enjoyed.” The engraving remains there today. Lutyens’ Viceroy’s House covered a greater area than Versailles and had an army of attendants, including several whose job was to shoo away pigeons. New Delhi emerged as a rigidly ordered and segregated city, with spacious bungalows for British officers in the south and poorly ventilated tenements for Indian peons in the north.

¶Indians protested the cost and extravagance of the new capital in the legislative assembly, the feeble predecessor to the Indian Parliament. Contrasting New Delhi’s opulence with the grinding poverty of the rest of the country, one legislator in 1921 complained that, “we have no right to feed our aesthetic sentiments at the expense of the poor tax-payers of India. And I cannot find any justification whatsoever why we should think that we should be better housed … when we really know that the country is actually starving and suffering.” In 1927, the chamber erupted in a chorus of “Shame, Shame” when British officials increased the budget for furnishing the Viceroy’s House.

¶Armed with limited budgetary powers, the assembly began chipping away at New Delhi’s construction budget and helped organize two committees to investigate ways for further reductions. As a result, many elements of New Delhi’s plan, such as extending the city’s processional boulevard, now Rajpath, to the Yamuna River, were discarded and remain unfinished even today. Leading Indian nationalists took a harder line against the city. Jawaharlal Nehru mocked the Viceroy’s House as the “chief temple where the High Priest officiated” and Mahatma Gandhi is rumored to have wanted to turn it into a hospital.

¶When New Delhi was officially inaugurated in 1931, it was a fundamentally incomplete city, littered with vacant plots and unfinished palaces. Due to the outrage over the cost of construction, British officials kept inaugural ceremonies to a bare minimum, something that was in marked contrast to the 1911 durbar. The power dynamics in the new city were starting to shift. At its center was a new Council House built for India’s expanded legislative assembly. As the Raj was forced to make further political concessions to the nationalists, the Council House, today home to India’s Parliament, became a hub of the city’s political life at the expense of the Viceroy’s House.

¶Ultimately, New Delhi served as the capital of the Raj for only 16 years before India became independent in 1947. Lutyens’ Viceroy’s House — decorated with stone bells that were meant never to ring and thereby never to herald the end of empire — became Rashtrapati Bhavan, the home of India’s ceremonial president. Colonial-era statues were dumped at the neglected durbar site. Reminders of the Raj still abound at every turn in modern New Delhi, but the Indian republic has managed to put its own stamp on the capital. At the eastern end of Rajpath lies an empty pavilion that once housed the marble statue of George V. It serves as a fitting symbol for an ancient civilization very much still in the process of refashioning itself as a democratic, egalitarian nation-state.

Genetic study finds no evidence for Aryan Migration Theory–On the contrary, South Indians migrated to north and South Asians migrated into Eurasia

What geneticists consider a landmark paper has just been published in a highly reputed scientific journal, American Journal of Human Genetics, authored by an international group of geneticists including Metspalu, Gyaneshwer Chaubey, Chandana Basu Mallick (Evolutionary Biology Group in Tartu, Estonia), Ramasamy Pitchappan (Chettinad Academy of Research and Education, Chennai), Lalji Singh, and Kumarasamy Thangaraj (CCMB, Hyderabad). The study is titled: Shared and Unique Components of Human Population Structure and Genome-Wide Signals of Positive Selection in South Asia, The American Journal of Human Genetics (2011), doi:10.1016/j.ajhg.2011.11.010

The study is comprehensive, unlike previous studies of human genome and is unique, because it focuses on large number of populations in South Asia, and India, a region which harbours one of the highest levels of genetic diversity in Eurasia and currently accounts for one sixth of human population in the world.

The study analysed human genetic variation on a sample of 1310 individuals that belong to 112 populations, using new genome-wide data contains more than 600,000 single nucleotide polymorphic sites among 142 samples from 30 ethnic groups of India. The most important scientific findings of the study are:

• South Asian genetic diversity is 2nd in the world, next only to Africa, mainly due to long periods of indigenous development of lineages and with complex population structure where one can see the different caste and tribal populations.

• Two genetic components among Indians are observed: one is restricted to India and explains 50% genetic ancestry of Indian populations , while, the second which spread to West Asia and Caucasus region. Technically called “haplotype diversity”, it is a measure of the origin of the genetic component. The component which spread beyond India has significantly higher haplotype diversity in India than in any other part of world. This is clear proof that this genetic component originated in India and then spread to West Asia and Caucasus. The distribution of two genetic components among Indians clearly indicates that the Aryan-Dravidian division is a myth, Indian population landscape is clearly governed by geography.

• A remarkable finding is that the origin of these components in India is much older than 3500 years which clearly refutes Aryan Invasion theory of the type enunciated by Max Mueller ! The study also found that haplotypic diversity of this ancestry component is much greater than in Europe and the Near East (Iraq, Iran, Middle East) thus pointing to an older age of the component and/or long-term higher effective population size (that is, indigenous evolution of people).

• Haplotype diversity associated with dark green ancestry is greatest in the south of the Indian subcontinent, indicating that the alleles underlying it most likely arose there and spread northwards.

• The study refutes Aryan migrations into India suggested by the German orientalist Max Muller that ca. 3,500 years ago a dramatic migration of Indo-European speakers from Central Asia shaping contemporary South Asian populations, introduction of the Indo-European language family and the caste system in India. A few past studies on mtDNA and Y-chromosome variation have interpreted their results in favor of the hypothesis, whereas others have found no genetic evidence to support it. The present study notes that any migration from Central Asia to South Asia should have introduced readily apparent signals of East Asian ancestry into India. The study finds that this ancestry component is absent from the region. The study, therefore, concludes that if such at all such a dispersal ever took place, it should have occurred 12,500 years ago. On the contrary, there is evidence for East Asian ancestry component reaching Central Asia at a later period.

• India has one of the world’s fastest growing incidence of type 2 diabetes as well as a sizeable number of cases of the metabolic syndrome, both of which have been linked to recent rapid urbanization. The study points to a possible genetic reasons and recommends further researches on four genes – DOKS, MSTN, CLOCK, PPARA – implicated in lipid metabolism and etiology of type 2 diabetes.

Abstract
South Asia harbors one of the highest levels genetic diversity in Eurasia, which could be interpreted as a result of its long-term large effective population size and of admixture during its complex demographic history. In contrast to Pakistani populations, populations of Indian origin have been underrepresented in previous genomic scans of positive selection and population structure. Here we report data for more than 600,000 SNP markers genotyped in 142 samples from 30 ethnic groups in India. Combining our results with other available genome-wide data, we show that Indian populations are characterized by two major ancestry components, one of which is spread at comparable frequency and haplotype diversity in populations of South and West Asia and the Caucasus. The second component is more restricted to South Asia and accounts for more than 50% of the ancestry in Indian populations. Haplotype diversity associated with these South Asian ancestry components is significantly higher than that of the components dominating the West Eurasian ancestry palette. Modeling of the observed haplotype diversities suggests that both Indian ancestry components are older than the purported Indo-Aryan invasion 3,500 YBP. Consistent with the results of pairwise genetic distances among world regions, Indians share more ancestry signals with West than with East Eurasians. However, compared to Pakistani populations, a higher proportion of their genes show regionally specific signals of high haplotype homozygosity. Among such candidates of positive selection in India are MSTN and DOK5, both of which have potential implications in lipid metabolism and the etiology of type 2 diabetes.

Thank you very much for inviting me.

I come to America with a mission. All is not well in the old world. There is a tremendous danger looming, and it is very difficult to be optimistic. We might be in the final stages of the Islamization of Europe. This not only is a clear and present danger to the future of Europe itself, it is a threat to America and the sheer survival of the West. The United States as the last bastion of Western civilization, facing an Islamic Europe.

First, I will describe the situation on the ground in Europe. Then, I will say a few things about Islam. To close I will tell you about a meeting in Jerusalem.

The Europe you know is changing.

You have probably seen the landmarks. But in all of these cities, sometimes a few blocks away from your tourist destination, there is another world. It is the world of the parallel society created by Muslim mass-migration.

All throughout Europe a new reality is rising: entire Muslim neighborhoods where very few indigenous people reside or are even seen. And if they are, they might regret it. This goes for the police as well. It’s the world of head scarves, where women walk around in figureless tents, with baby strollers and a group of children. Their husbands, or slaveholders if you prefer, walk three steps ahead. With mosques on many street corners. The shops have signs you and I cannot read. You will be hard-pressed to find any economic activity. These are Muslim ghettos controlled by religious fanatics. These are Muslim neighborhoods, and they are mushrooming in every city across Europe. These are the building-blocks for territorial control of increasingly larger portions of Europe, street by street, neighborhood by neighborhood, city by city.

There are now thousands of mosques throughout Europe. With larger congregations than there are in churches. And in every European city there are plans to build super-mosques that will dwarf every church in the region. Clearly, the signal is: we rule.

Many European cities are already one-quarter Muslim: just take Amsterdam, Marseille and Malmo in Sweden. In many cities the majority of the under-18 population is Muslim. Paris is now surrounded by a ring of Muslim neighborhoods. Mohammed is the most popular name among boys in many cities.

In some elementary schools in Amsterdam the farm can no longer be mentioned, because that would also mean mentioning the pig, and that would be an insult to Muslims.

Many state schools in Belgium and Denmark only serve halal food to all pupils. In once-tolerant Amsterdam gays are beaten up almost exclusively by Muslims. Non-Muslim women routinely hear ‘whore, whore’. Satellite dishes are not pointed to local TV stations, but to stations in the country of origin.

In France school teachers are advised to avoid authors deemed offensive to Muslims, including Voltaire and Diderot; the same is increasingly true of Darwin. The history of the Holocaust can no longer be taught because of Muslim sensitivity.

In England Sharia courts are now officially part of the British legal system. (As a “Brit” I couldn’t believe this particular speech so I decided to investigate this bit – to my utter astonishment it is quite true!) Many neighborhoods in France are no-go areas for women without head scarves. Last week a man almost died after being beaten up by Muslims in Brussels, because he was drinking during the Ramadan.

Jews are fleeing France in record numbers, on the run for the worst wave of anti-Semitism since World War II. French is now commonly spoken on the streets of Tel Aviv and Netanya, Israel. I could go on forever with stories like this. Stories about Islamization.

A total of fifty-four million Muslims now live in Europe. San Diego University recently calculated that a staggering 25 percent of the population in Europe will be Muslim just 12 years from now. Bernhard Lewis has predicted a Muslim majority by the end of this century.

Now these are just numbers. And the numbers would not be threatening if the Muslim-immigrants had a strong desire to assimilate. But there are few signs of that. The Pew Research Center reported that half of French Muslims see their loyalty to Islam as greater than their loyalty to France. One-third of French Muslims do not object to suicide attacks. The British Centre for Social Cohesion reported that one-third of British Muslim students are in favor of a worldwide caliphate. Muslims demand what they call ‘respect’. And this is how we give them respect. We have Muslim official state holidays.

The Christian-Democratic attorney general is willing to accept Sharia in the Netherlands if there is a Muslim majority. We have cabinet members with passports from Morocco and Turkey.

Muslim demands are supported by unlawful behavior, ranging from petty crimes and random violence, for example against ambulance workers and bus drivers, to small-scale riots. Paris has seen its uprising in the low-income suburbs, the banlieus. I call the perpetrators ‘settlers’. Because that is what they are. They do not come to integrate into our societies; they come to integrate our society into their Dar-al-Islam. Therefore, they are settlers.

Much of this street violence I mentioned is directed exclusively against non-Muslims, forcing many native people to leave their neighborhoods, their cities, their countries. Moreover, Muslims are now a swing vote not to be ignored.

The second thing you need to know is the importance of Mohammed the prophet. His behavior is an example to all Muslims and cannot be criticized. Now, if Mohammed had been a man of peace, let us say like Ghandi and Mother Theresa wrapped in one, there would be no problem. But Mohammed was a warlord, a mass murderer, a pedophile, and had several marriages – at the same time. Islamic tradition tells us how he fought in battles, how he had his enemies murdered and even had prisoners of war executed. Mohammed himself slaughtered the Jewish tribe of Banu Qurayza. If it is good for Islam, it is good. If it is bad for Islam, it is bad.

Let no one fool you about Islam being a religion. Sure, it has a god, and a here-after, and 72 virgins. But in its essence Islam is a political ideology. It is a system that lays down detailed rules for society and the life of every person. Islam wants to dictate every aspect of life. Islam means ‘submission’. Islam is not compatible with freedom and democracy, because what it strives for is Sharia. If you want to compare Islam to anything, compare it to communism or national-socialism, these are all totalitarian ideologies.

Now you know why Winston Churchill called Islam ‘the most retrograde force in the world’, and why he compared Mein Kampf to the Quran. The public has wholeheartedly accepted the Palestinian narrative, and sees Israel as the aggressor. I have lived in this country and visited it dozens of times. I support Israel. First, because it is the Jewish homeland after two thousand years of exile up to and including Auschwitz; second because it is a democracy, and third because Israel is our first line of defense.

This tiny country is situated on the fault line of jihad, frustrating Islam’s territorial advance. Israel is facing the front lines of jihad, like Kashmir, Kosovo, the Philippines, Southern Thailand, Darfur in Sudan, Lebanon, and Aceh in Indonesia. Israel is simply in the way. The same way West-Berlin was during the Cold War.

The war against Israel is not a war against Israel. It is a war against the West. It is jihad. Israel is simply receiving the blows that are meant for all of us. If there would have been no Israel, Islamic imperialism would have found other venues to release its energy and its desire for conquest. Thanks to Israeli parents who send their children to the army and lay awake at night, parents in Europe and America can sleep well and dream, unaware of the dangers looming.

Many in Europe argue in favor of abandoning Israel in order to address the grievances of our Muslim minorities. But if Israel were, God forbid, to go down, it would not bring any solace to the West It would not mean our Muslim minorities would all of a sudden change their behavior, and accept our values. On the contrary, the end of Israel would give enormous encouragement to the forces of Islam. They would, and rightly so, see the demise of Israel as proof that the West is weak, and doomed. The end of Israel would not mean the end of our problems with Islam, but only the beginning. It would mean the start of the final battle for world domination. If they can get Israel, they can get everything. So-called journalists volunteer to label any and all critics of Islamization as a ‘right-wing extremists’ or ‘racists’. In my country, the Netherlands, 60 percent of the population now sees the mass immigration of Muslims as the number one policy mistake since World War II. And another 60 percent sees Islam as the biggest threat. Yet there is a greater danger than terrorist attacks, the scenario of America as the last man standing. The lights may go out in Europe faster than you can imagine. An Islamic Europe means a Europe without freedom and democracy, an economic wasteland, an intellectual nightmare, and a loss of military might for America – as its allies will turn into enemies, enemies with atomic bombs. With an Islamic Europe, it would be up to America alone to preserve the heritage of Rome, Athens and Jerusalem.

Dear friends, liberty is the most precious of gifts. My generation never had to fight for this freedom, it was offered to us on a silver platter, by people who fought for it with their lives. All throughout Europe, American cemeteries remind us of the young boys who never made it home, and whose memory we cherish. My generation does not own this freedom; we are merely its custodians. We can only hand over this hard won liberty to Europe’s children in the same state in which it was offered to us. We cannot strike a deal with mullahs and imams. Future generations would never forgive us. We cannot squander our liberties. We simply do not have the right to do so.

We have to take the necessary action now to stop this Islamic stupidity from destroying the free world that we know.

Bloodiest Inquisition in Goa’ ?

On 3^rd December, there is a fair of the so-called Saint Francis Xavier at Old Goa. Hindus also go to this fair and pray for curing of physical ailments. Lack of ‘Dharmashikshan’ among Hindus is the reason that they fall prey to such so-called miracles of so-called Saints. We give below how this Xavier and under his order, the Portuguese oppressed Hindus.

St. Francis Xavier landed in Goa on 6 May 1542, with a resolve of ‘uprooting paganism’ from the soil of India and planting Christianity in its place. And so all plans of persecution and oppression of the Hindus came along with him. All religious policies and procedures of forcible and fraudulent conversions and demolitions of the Hindu Temples and idols were undertaken under his guidance and missionary zeal. Thus it was St.Francis Xavier who laid the foundation for the ‘compassionate’ (barbarous!) for an organised system of Holy Inquisition against the Hindus in Goa.
