Differences between Intellectual and Wise. We put too much emphasis on modern education. It’s actually mass education, a programming of people to think and feel identically. In this case, greatly enhance able natural human intelligence is suppressed. This human intelligence is replaced by vast amounts of data and information and a bias, to produce an intellectual. An intellectual person cannot cope, manage or adapt as effectively to changing scenarios and needs than an intelligent person. To make things worse, the status granted by popular society to intellect over intelligence breeds a not so pleasant or desirable an individual or society. Wisdom is the application of individual and collective intelligence to enhance the quality of life at individual relationship and create a better humanity and world.

To find out if one is an intellectual individual or a wise person one can go through these 14 points.

1. Intellectualism leads to arguments. Wisdom leads to settlements.
2. Intellectualism is power of will.Wisdom is power over will.
3. Intellectualism is heat, it burns. Wisdom is warmth, it comforts.
4. Intellectualism is pursuit of knowledge; it tires the seeker. Wisdom is pursuit of truth; it inspires the seeker.
5. Intellectualism is holding on. Wisdom is letting go.
6. Intellectualism leads you. Wisdom guides you.
7. An Intellectual person thinks he or she knows everything. A wise person knows that there is so much more to learn.
8. An Intellectual person always tries to prove his or her point. A wise person knows there really is no point.
9. An Intellectual person freely gives unsolicited advice. A wise person keeps his or her counsel until all options are considered.
10. An Intellectual person understands what is being said. A wise person understands what is left unsaid.
11. An Intellectual person speaks when he or she has to say something. A wise person speaks when he or she has something to say.
12. An Intellectual person sees everything as relative. A wise person sees everything as related.
13. An Intellectual person tries to control the flow. A wise person navigates through the flow.
14. An Intellectual person preaches. A wise person reaches.
15. Intellect, like thunder and lightning, appear powerful and impressive; but its wisdom like the rain that actually grows the food and the flowers.

Who is a Hindu?

                                      I  am a Hindu.

 1.The word Hindu is most ancient and it is mentioned in Rig ved—8:2:41

In Rigved there is description of a king named’ VivHindu’ who donated 46000 cows. He was a very powerful king and involved in charity.

2. Rigved describes about a Rishi named Sandhav who was later  popularly known as  Haindav or Hindav.

3. Rigved  mentions Hindu word in Brahspati Agyam.

Himalayam samarabhya yavat Indu sarovaram,

Tam devnirmitam desham Hindusthanam praca kshate.

Himalaya to Indusarovar, the nation  established by Devas is called Hindusthan.

4. Meru tantra or Shaiv tantra has used word Hindu.

 Hinam ca dushya tyeva hindu ri tyu ccate priye.

 He  who comes out of ignorance and narrow thinking is a Hindu.

5. The above mantra has been repeated in ‘Kalpdrum’

Hinam dusayati  iti Hindu means he who is not narrow minded is a Hindu.

6. In   Paarijaat Haran the word Hindu has been described

Hinasti tapasa paapaam  dahikaam dushtamaansaan,

Hetibhih  satruvargam ca sa hindubhidhiyate.

7. Hindu    in Madhav Digviya

Onkaar mantra mooladhaya  punarjanm dridhaashayah,

Gobhakto bharat gurur hindu hinsan dushakah .

 He who believes that ONKAR sound is Parmatma itself and who believes in theory of karma or cause and effect, he who cares and looks after cows and he who keeps away from evilness is a Hindu.

The word Hindu is as ancient as Vedas and we have inherited it from the oldest scriptures  Vedas. The invaders never gave this to people of Bharat rather Vedas have addressed the people of Bharat as Hindu.
