Government of India in general and Government of Tamil Nadu in specific has been systematically discouraging Hindu practices and encouraging Christian and Muslim Religions. The Car parking is an example that shows how Anti-hindu Government conveniently forgets that secular means not meddling in Hindu affairs. You park a car anywhere in the whole town (these are small temple towns to begin with) and the government agent will come to collect the 30-50 Rs from you. this is not in the temple premises, any public place in the whole town. If you come to town in a car and go to visit temple you have to pay. if you park the car and go shopping – parking is free. If you are trying to cover 10 temples, that does add up.
Then they try to create anarcy in popular temples. donations received in hundi in temples are diverted to Wakf board and activities to fund other religions. The Government ensures that significant control of major temple boards is with people who are non-Hindu or who hate Hindu practices. And the Hindus keep chanting secularism mantra and keep voting the same anti-India government to power year after year.
