A Hindu man married to a Muslim says ..

Hi,

Thank you very much for sharing some facts about the prophet Mohammed. I am from South Africa, of a Hindu by faith, and married into a Muslim family. We have had a Hindu wedding and have been accepted by all.

However, we have just had a death in the family where my wife’s brother has passed away.  He was very friendly, and got along exceptionally well with me being a Hindu. He was a very modern Muslim, and has not shown any dislike towards other religions groups. In essence he was not a practicing Muslim because he has not gone to Mosque every day etc.

After his passing away, I experienced the most ridiculous type of discrimination from the Muslim relatives. Firstly they did not allow me to accompany them to the place where they give the body a bath. Thereafter they did not allow non-Muslim people to touch the body or sit nearby. They did not allow the females to accompany the men to the cemetery. I have had the privilege to read the English versions of the Surah Yasins, and I was unhappy with the contents of some verses e.g. 13, 18, 23 etc. In particular those that refer to non believers as infidels that should be stones to death. In another verse it states that there should be torture whereby the mouths should be tied and the limbs must speak. Are these extracts taken from the same Koran of the the so called “Most merciful, most beneficial Allah”?

This is utter hypocrisy in my opinion, and I fully understand why there is so much hatred and turmoil between Muslims and other faiths worldwide. I am so proud to belong to a faith that has outlived Islam and Christianity by far, and is the world’s oldest religion. We Hindus do not condemn, convert others, nor do we encourage or incite violence and torture amongst humanity. If the parents of a newly born Muslim child do not read the Azaan in the child’s ears, then what religious faith is that child considered to belong to? Hindu dharma of course because, by default all Indian Muslims are Hindus until they are converted into Islam.

Please feel free to enlighten me about your findings, and in particular the facts based on the contents of Surah Yasin.

Many thanks

Nash- South Africa

(Generally, one accepts the religion of the parents, till one accepts another religion. Muslims force Islam on their children, and kill any Muslim who quits Islam. This they do per Islam/Koran. Any person who kills, eats or slaughters cows cannot be considered a Hindu. One who rejects the Vedas, Bhagavad Gita, Ramayan, Mahabharat, or the Vedic gods also cannot be considered a Hindu. The Muslims of Bhaarat need to revert back to the Hindu dharma of their ancestors. –Skanda987)
